Mongoose Dragon

Mongoose Dragons are giant lizards and are domesticated from the Fire Nation's tropical jungles. Mongoose dragons have been used as mounts by Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee. They are first seen in "The Chase."

[edit] Appearance

Mongoose Dragons are very similar to plumed basilisks in its markings and raised chest, as well as a few plumed areas of skin above the head. These huge lizards are approximately fifteen to twenty feet long from snout to tail. They have bright yellow eyes and can be mounted for travel. The mongoose dragons are large animals that are basically ridden like a horse only mongoose dragons are much more versatile. Their quick, mongoose-like reflexes help them to dodge just about any attack, and their lizard-like abilities enable them to quickly crawl over just about any obstacle even up walls and on top of water. Riding this animal takes a little getting used to especially when it stands on its hind legs, but it is well worth it.
