Miyuki

Miyuki is a white Persian-like cat, with long white fur and extremely light green eyes; almost gray. It belongs to the Herbalist whom Aang meets in "The Blue Spirit". Miyuki appears again in "Bato of the Water Tribe", in which the Herbalist asks Miyuki whether Miyuki has "gotten in trouble with the Fire Nation again".

Miyuki appears to love plum-blossom, according to the Herbalist.

• Miyuki is a traditional Japanese name. Though it can be written using different kanji, the cat's white fur would indicate the most appropriate to be 美雪, meaning "beautiful snow".
• Miyuki is one of very few nonchimerical (unhybridized) earth animals seen in the world of Avatar. Other examples of unhybridized animals are Bosco and the wood frogs.
• In Avatar Extras, it is revealed that Miyuki was named after one of the staff members that loved cats.
