Mindy Sterling is best known for her role as Frau Farbissina in the Austin Powers movie franchise. In 2000, her memorable portrayal earned the actress a Teen Choice nomination for Choice Film Actress and a Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Supporting Actress.

Sterling has also brought her comedic talent to several on-camera television roles including A.N.T. Farm, Desperate Housewives, and iCarly. She has guest starred in CBS's 2 Broke Girls, My Name is Earl, HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm, Scrubs, King of Queens, and Reno 911!.
