  • Hi, Torresp. The file, Gave_you_the_cure.jpg, you uploaded to our database does not specify its source or licensing.

    • Source: You need to indicate where the image was taken from by using a {{imagebox}}. In case of screenshots, and if you didn't grab them yourself, you need to acknowledge the site/person who did it. Also, please add a description of the screencap;
    • Licensing: If you have not created this media yourself, then you need to indicate why it can be used here. For this, you need to include the proper image copyright designation on the license field of the {{imagebox}}. If you believe the media falls under the fair use doctrine, then consider reading up on it, and then use the proper fair use license (canon).

If you uploaded other media, consider checking whether you specified their source and licensing, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded here.

To comply with this request, go to the file's edit page, remove the notice and click on Image_Button.png. Then, fill out the appropriate fields as exemplified here. Finally, save the change.

Note that it's your responsibility to properly credit the media you upload, and any unsourced and unlicensed image can be deleted if not correctly specified.

    Thank you.

  • Please try to remember to add references whenever you make a claim that something happened. You can read more on how to do that on the Avatar Wiki:S.O.S. editing guide and the {{Cite episode}} template.

Additionally, please refrain from adding two spaces between the end of one sentence and the start of the next.

  • The definition of 'cabal' is "a secret political clique or faction", which incorrectly describes Zaheer's gang. They aren't political, and they aren't secret. The term 'gang' is simple, descriptive, and it doesn't require the use of a dictionary to figure out exactly what it means.

    • Yeah, but your policies and standards still have to be within those of the wikia system and that system embodies all wikis, not just this one.

    • As KFB has noted, we do not use what other franchises choose to do as our basis for naming articles. This has been mentioned a number of times in the past, so is entirely consistent with how we do things on the wiki.

Just because other users do not agree with your view or interpretation does not mean that we are being un-democratic or one dimensional. This wiki is entirely based on consensus and collaboration, which is directly in line with the greater wikia system. If you wish to create your own wiki which embraces the views you have described, I wish you all the luck in doing so. But, the systems we have on this wiki do, in my view and I am sure many others' as well, work perfectly well in creating a collaborative environment. I see no need to change that.

  • You are perfectly well within your rights to start your own Avatar-themed wiki, I even wish you the best of luck with that. However, I would like to ask you to seize advertising that wiki to other users of this community on this wiki. Contact them on Community Central or something, but not on this wiki when the purpose of that message is to lead them away from here, as that is a breach of our discussion policy. Yes, I know, yet another one of our many annoying rules, but it is still one that needs to be followed, thus please stop your advertising effort to your other site on this wiki. Thank you.

    • Look, if of users of this wiki want or decide to switch to my wiki, that is their decision, their choice. If you lose a few users, then that's because it was of their free choice.

    • You're misinterpreting my message. It is indeed anyone's free choice to visit and contribute to any wiki they want. However, what I asked you to stop doing was advertise your other wiki on this one. That is something that you cannot do according to this wiki's policy. That's also why I suggested to you to take such practices to another wiki like Community Central.

    • Fine, just give me a reccomended link to post my message.  I'm not very good at finding the right place to do so.

        Loading editor
    • You can find Community Central here, and then navigate to the message wall of the user you wish to contact; probably the easiest way to do so would be to add Message Wall:<Username> to the end of the URL.

There is also a link to CC at the bottom of every wiki page, whatever wiki you are on.

  • I watched carefully, Raava clearly said that if she comes back after 10000 years, it wouldn't matter, humans wouldn't live to see the end of those years. Vaatu, a god, a spirit of chaos is more than capable of such destruction.

By the way, apocalypse refers to an end of the world scenario, with oblivion and suffering.

    • You claim every little thing is conjecture. That's the problem I have, whoever made the wiki and/or it's rules make the series look boring than it is, and that's the last thing fans want, boring. Other official wikis of other franchises were run by fans, and not by documenters, so why can't this wiki be run by fans instead? If I ran this wiki, or started my own wiki of this franchise, then I'd put the facts the way I interpret it.

You treat speculation as if they will destroy the fabric of time, and your policy on speculation is too extreme and broad. The more you bring up the rules, the less interest I have.

    • That is such a gross exaggeration, and a false one at that. Look at the wiki's recent activity, look at all the edit made to our pages that I do not deem to be conjecture. Now look at the difference between those edits and many of yours -to clarify already: I said many, not all of your edits. You see the difference? It's called a clear source as opposed to a personal deduction.

Look, if you find the fact of the series to be boring, then that's your decision. We can't help you with that. However, it's not because you can think of more interesting plot twists than apparently the creators could, that you have the right to alter the universe they have provided us with. Once again, if you like to do that, start a fanon stories, that's the entire point of them.

This wiki is run by fans who happen to be documents. If you don't like it, this is a democratically ruled wiki, so you're well within your rights to start a War Room discussion in which you propose to stop being an objective encyclopedia and start being something the fandom can have fun with and add their every desire for the series. So if that's how you want to run your wiki, then be my guest, knock yourself out. Start that wiki, though duly remember that the same principles would not count here, as here we solely stick to our objective facts.

I'm sorry that you feel that way. However, one tiny factual correction: they're not my policies, they're the wiki's. Even though I am a part of this wiki and am bound as an administrator to enforce those rules, the policies itself were written by and agreed upon by the community. The only policies I've ever written were those pertaining to the fanon portal, not the main portal ones -which are the ones you are complaining about. Again, if you have issues with that, take it to the War Room.

  • Though you may be correct in saying that Wan bent two (or more) different elements before he became the Avatar, he still was an Avatar and is, therefore, included in the "only case" parameter, even if he bent more than one element prior to his merge with Raava. Meaning that saying the Avatar is the only being who can bend more than one element includes Wan himself regardless of when he had this ability and when he became the Avatar. I hope that makes sense, but let me know.

      Loading editor
    • The fact that Wan held two elements before merging with Raava does show that it is or was theoretically possible for a person to gain another element from a lion turtle. The lion Turtles only said that they have never seen a person hold the power of two elements, but they didn't say that a person CAN'T hold more than one element.

        Loading editor
    • Though that argument may carry some weight to it, it is understood and accepted that the Avatar is the only being who can possess the ability to bend more than a single element, as is shown in many other sources (mainly in the original series), so it is better to base this section off of this more widely known fact than a speculative loophole that is possible only because of a certain wording that was used. As for Wan, it was he who set the precedent of being able to bend more than one element, so he would logically be included in the list of beings that had this ability, which we refer to as the Avatar. Also, as Intelligence said, Wan was only able to bend an additional element with the help of Raava.

        Loading editor
    • per ziryerx. also, before they merged, wan only held one element at a time. He required Raava to switch elements for him.

  • You seem upset. Did something bad happen today?

    I mean, you don't know me and I don't know you, but I'm a good listener/reader.

  • Please knock it off with the edit wars. You've been here long enough to know that those should be avoided. You're free to discuss why your edit should be there, but you should know by now that status quo prevails until a discussion takes place. So please, stop the edit warring; it's getting old.

    • Tone down the attitude. Just because you are in disagreement with us does not mean you can just fly off the handle at us. Please remain civil in all interactions - that too is basic policy.

        Loading editor
    • No, pretty sure it's just all of the edit wars you're starting. Wikia staff is always there to contact if you think you're being wronged. For now, have the decency to respect the wiki's policies as well as other editors who have to take time out of their day again and again to tell you the same things over and over. It's inconsiderate, disrespectful, and incredibly unproductive how you always approach situations like this in the same way.

  • It doesn't matter whether or not a duo is a team. This is about Team Avatar, meaning all the members of that team. It's not about half of TA, or 'select members' of TA – it's about the team in its entirety, and in its entirety, they are not 'enemies' of the Triple Threats. The Triple Threats were just another opposing force, but not enemies of TA

    • Mako's the one who's been telling Bolin to stay away from the Triads. That was stated in The Revelation

        Loading editor
    • Yes, but knowing that they're a triad and knowing that what they do is illegal and would thus possibly get you in to a lot of trouble is not the same as acknowledging that their morals are sickening to him. He could possibly be perfectly okay with what the triads do, but wants to stay away from it out of fear from legal repercussions. Not everything needs to be black and white.
