WHY
Edit
Why did you reguest it the forum is not doing any harm--KataraTophAzula 15:54, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- There have been complaints against it and it violated our flaming policy. You're free and encouraged to create forums on Avatar Wiki, just remember to keep them about the topic and not the users. It'd be appreciated if you stop arguing on forums, for future reference. Joey aa 15:58, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- As per Joey. I had tolerated it for quite a while, but the complaints were a last straw. We want to keep our forums positive, so arguing like that in the forums is intolerable. Joey happened to beat me to deleting it, though. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 08:24, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Help Request
Edit
Hey 888th Avatar, I was lurking around the dead Avatar Fanon Wiki and I saw how in the past, you helped them with stuff by fixing up the main page and other ways. Anyway, I would like to ask, can you help me with something at Foamipedia? I want to get some infoboxes (you know for characters, locations, battles, and wars) up on the wiki and I was wondering if you could help me with getting those set up at Foamipedia since so far I have failed to get them set up properly. Andftw18 18:31, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
- Sure, I'll be able to help you with them soon (say two or three days, I'm quite busy today and tomorrow). However, you can also try to set some up yourself from Wikia Templates, which has an entire category devoted to infoboxes. If you have trouble with these, drop a line and I'll fix it up for you. :) Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 01:08, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Understood and thanks for willing to go along with this. I'll check out those links you gave me and see if they help me. Andftw18 17:47, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, no problem. Just talk to me if you need any help along the way. :) Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 22:35, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Hiding stuff from user page
Edit
Hi. Thanks for the tip for the DCAU main page. About this: shouldn't you do it on your css page? ― Thailog 12:24, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- No problem about the DCAU main page. ;) No, I actually intend that no-one see the title. It is a little redundant to even show the title on user and user talk pages because of the huge masthead over it. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 12:26, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, that sounds like a good idea. However, even if we don't do it for all user pages, anyone should be able to request this and get an admin to do it for them. After all, the change doesn't affect the entire wiki. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 12:31, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Okay, we'll look into that. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 12:38, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
I already said on IRC that I knew Joey's user page is editable, via altering the URL. You didn't have to change it. I completely understood. --Energybender 20:08, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- I made the demonstration at the time because you seemed to be confused as to why the "edit" link was missing and what would happen in that event. But never mind, it's good that you know. :) Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 01:24, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Help
Edit
My friend, I want to you ask you an extremely important question. How can I join Avatar Fanon? I really intend in writing stories based upon the series and showing it to the public. I want to see what the avatar wiki community thinks of my material. Thanks. -Anvill
- Please see Fanon:Avatar Fanon. There's a nice box there and all you need to do is type in the name of the article you want to create. This will bring you to the page where you can write away. Good luck. Joey aa 18:51, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. I truly appreciate it.
- Well, I hope your material turns out to be fantastic. :) Thanks Joey for helping Anvill. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 11:53, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Featured user: None this issue Foamipedia by Vaznock Well, Avatar Fanon Wiki has been a thing of the past since the two wikis were merged. The wiki we once called our sister wiki is no longer in existence. But there's still one more wiki relating to Avatar, and it's Foamipedia, the Official Avatar Humor Wiki. The wiki, created by Andftw, is aimed to provide a barrage of articles making fun of the Avatar Universe and parodying it. You can find out all general information on the actual site. However, despite being a laid back and humorous type of site, the wiki still has a documented policy that must be followed in order to maintain success. All in all, you must take on the wiki maturely, but still bring your sense of humor with you. So if you have a sense of humor and you specialize in making people laugh, Foamipedia is your kind of place!
At the end of last month, I reported on this for Wan Shi Tong's Library but left out some important details. That's because I want to keep you full of tension and anticipation for this issue XD. But seriously, folks, as you know, the Mangas will be adaptions of both the series and the Airbender film, drawn by actually Japanese Manga artist. Nickelodeon Global Publishing said to activeanime.com: "We’re excited to partner with [the Manga's publisher] Del Rey on these upcoming manga releases. Recreating and adapting the layered storylines and incredible, animated martial arts of the Avatar series and upcoming feature film in the manga style will allow fans to experience their favorite moment from the show over and over again." Del Ray similarly reported, "We’re excited to be working with Nickelodeon to bring these great stories to the manga audience. Avatar: The Last Airbender has shown incredible crossover appeal with manga fans. The release of The Last Airbender movie and original tie-in manga gives us the chance to share completely new stories with Avatar fans looking for more about Aang, Zuko, and their favorite characters." The Last Airbender is set to be released in theaters on July 2, 2010. Filming has ceased and Shymalan and his crew on working on the post-production. The teaser trailer has been released in theaters, the internet, and television, and the official one is likely to be released later this year. The official website is also up, located at http://www.thelastairbendermovie.com/ and fans can also follow it at the official Twitter page.

Did you upload or link to a new video? Cause it said it was removed when I removed the link to it.... --8th Mizukage 03:44, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
- No, the problem was that a user uploaded a new version of it. This might have momentarily stuffed it up. The only other explanation is that something stuffed up between your computer and Wikia's servers, and it didn't display at all. But we don't need to worry, it's back now and that's what matters. :) Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 03:47, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

- Hmm, I think it'd be best if we had community consensus and discussion before we start flagging new (untested) bots. I'm going to ask that the flag be removed and hope you'd make a forum or something with consensus before re-flagging, as I personally think we don't have need for another bot, and like I did with my bot, we need discussion prior to flagging. Thanks. Joey aa 08:29, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

On a comment you made
Edit
[2009-08-10 20:17:31] <wjxhuang> Thailog: hence the forum i made
[2009-08-10 20:17:36] <Thailog> transcripts? gawd
[2009-08-10 20:17:46] <wjxhuang> only, the stupid fanon admins are too busy with their "fanon special"
[2009-08-10 20:18:09] <Thailog> they need to reassess their standards
Vaznock pointed this comment out to me, from an admin conversation you, Joey, and Thailog had and you posted on your Wiki. Now, I have to say, personally, I, and Vaznock, and most likely the other admins and the complete fanon community, am outraged that you said such a belligerent thing about us, when you yourself supported the idea of it and was a fanon editor in the past. This is also extremely surprising as you've always shown sincerity and a calm, non-rude demeanor as a bureaucrat and administrator.
Now, yes, we really do need to set aside our quality standards and policies, but we already are discussing it. Even so, if you wanted us to do something in a faster haste you should have told us, to our faces (metaphorically of course), instead of blatantly insult us and our fanon community behind our backs and to the other admins. I, personally, have been planning to implement these policies since long before the merge but have been forced to not continue on them as most have already been created, as well as the hectic schedules of the communities and PL.
We are doing a community project - the main community makes blogs, contests, etc., to keep everyone entertained, so when we do it it's "stupid"? No. That is not proper conduct and I'd expect you'd know better. Not only that, but posting it out in the open does, in someways, imply that you don't care what you said, which is also insulting to us and downright rude.
But, nonetheless, we will take higher priority to our policies and the general running of the community. Like I mentioned previously, I was planning, and now will try and pick up, Images and other such policies specifically for the Fanon Portal articles. We fanonadmins will also be more attentive on our responsibilities of setting up understandable guidelines that the entire Fanon Portal community needs to follow. So, at least, we thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I am still rather flabbergasted at such gross misconduct done by such a well-trusted and respected user in the eyes of both the main and fanon communities. I really wish you'd apologize as this was a very rude and downright ridiculous slant made towards the fanon community and our choice of activities to bring fun into it. As a bureaucrat I am sure you will take responsibility for your actions as you always have been a respected and coolheaded user.
Thank you, The Flash {talk} 23:26, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- Flash has pretty much said it all. I was nearly about to thank you for putting the discussion out to the public, as it gave me some ideas for Issue 9 of the BSST. But then when I saw that comment, I was majorly shocked. Especially since you have always acted with a very politically correct attitude. Though I don't want to be redundant and add an equally large rant, I've got to say that this really shines poorly on your character, well, at least to me. Now, I know that IRC discussions are private. What really upsets me and Flash is that you posted it and put it out to a public audience. Now, I'm assuming you forgot you had put that comment, but if you knew what you were posting, then....ouch.
- What really upsets me is when you called us "stupid". Do you actually think that me, Kai, Zukofan, and Flash are lacking in intelligence? Because from the way that comment was worded, you seem to be talking down on us and acting as though we are an unpleasant and unwanted nuisance that came with the merge. Look, we (fanon admins) were under the impression that the admins and the fanon admins work together to run the wiki. If you think we are doing something wrong or acting poorly, please tell us and don't hold back.
On a somewhat relate subject: The 888th Avatar, IRC conversations are private. Being one of the participants does not give you the right to publish these discussions, unless of course with explicit permission from all the people involved. I don't know about Joey, but I certainly was not consulted about this, and I expect to be so hereafter. Otherwise, you won't see much of me on IRC again. Thanks. ― Thailog 00:38, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- I didn't get word of it, although I admit he's done this in the past with our conversations without consent. I've always held it in, but... ya. I'd like to see what the other two fanonadmins have to say. Joey aa 00:56, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Kai is going to be back on the 14th, and I haven't seen Zukofan on too recently. Vaznock - Talk 01:00, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- I understand that you are treating this remark as quite serious. I also understand that you may think that I actually think that the fanonadmins are "stupid". What I think has occurred here is a severe misunderstanding of intent, of heart, and of character. There is some explaining to do, and I will explain in the most clear terms possible.
- I first want to fully, and totally, refute this misconception that I truly believe the fanonadmins to be "stupid". I'm surprised, shocked even, I admit, that you would treat one remark from me more highly than how I have always treated the fanonadmins. Why, if I thought the fanonadmins were stupid, did I treat them and count them as friends? Why, if I thought in this way, have I always voiced my full support for your taking of positions in the various councils and committees, such as the Standards Council? Why, if I thought in this way, have always treated your ideas as valid and to be considered? I have great respect for each one of them, and my respect has increased even more now that they are willing to criticise me and bring me to account for my actions, and with great sincerety and without ambiguity.
- Secondly, I need to fully explain the nature of that particular remark I made. Only now do I fully appreciate exactly how difficult it is to get words to mean what you wanted them to mean. I did not mean to imply that that anyone was "stupid"; rather, what I meant is that we won't be getting the fanon quality standards fixed up for a while because the fanonadmins were doing something else. The "stupid" was an offhand addition that was not meant to be the emphasis of the comment. The emphasis of the comment is "too busy". I'm extremely sorry that this has insulted a few users and I apologise for this.
- Thirdly, I believe Thailog has raised concerns about the publishing of logs from IRC. I did not believe anyone was particularly opposed to this; hence, I have continued to occasionally publish logs. However, if anyone wishes that I do not post my conversations with them in particular, I will discontinue this practice.
- Lastly, in case (or rather because) this is not clear, I will be taking responsibility for my actions. I'm not going to be shying away from taking responsibility; I believe not doing so to be rather cowardly, and I am not such a coward. I believe that this matter is deserving of recognition, and because of that, I'm resigning from the Standards Council, effective immediately. The Council will be having elections later this month; and I'm not standing in those elections either. I'm also resigning from the Arbitration Committee, also effective immediately, so you can take the appropriate elections if you so wish. Further, I am also suspending myself from the Welcoming Committee. I will also resign from the BSST if the community so wishes.
- Thank you for your vigilance bringing this to my attention, and let's continue to make this wiki a better resource for Avatar fans. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 04:17, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for apologizing, 888. I believe you about the "stupid" part. However, I think resignation because of one little issue is much too irrational and you're kicking yourself much too hard. :( Vaznock - Talk 13:34, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- 888, I must agree with Vaznock. You are a great user in this community and found all of the above councils. And you have explained yourself about the "stupid" comment. I think that there is no reason for you to leave all of these councils, and especially not the BSST. So, I also suggest you reconsider. Thanks--Avatar Talk 14:05, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- 888, I agree with Vaz as well. I understand how this happened, and see it was a big misunderstanding. Now, while I do think people should always take responsibility for their actions, that's a bit much - we really need you on all those things, an apology is enough action to take for this event, quitting from all the positions you're fantastic in is just, well, ridiculous. I hope you reconsider and thank you for explaining this mess. Cheers, The Flash {talk} 16:07, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- I don't agree or disagree with your choice to resign from these various community groups. This is, of course, your choice. I will say, however, that if you choose to resign because of this small incident, you are being far too critical of yourself. I, too, am overly critical of myself and usually end up putting myself in a worse position because of it. Don't do this. If your resignation these groups is for another reason, such as giving another user a chance to participate, this is understandable. In your post, it seemed like you chose to resign because of this huge misconception. Please reconsider, or at least review your options. --Mattkenn3 Talk 22:59, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
I'd like to thank you all for your support. I deeply appreciate it, and I'm happy that we can return to the important tasks at hand. I'm touched at this support for me not to leave the various groups I had been part of. I had resigned because I felt that it probably was best for me to take a break while the whole thing boiled over. I don't think it was irrational; I had weighed it up and at the time, it seemed like the best decision. However, as you don't think this is a good idea, I will take some time to reconsider. Fanon Sidebar
Edit
Hey,888. I just have one quick question on the fanon sidebar, under Stories it includes book 4 Air which is an inactive fanon. Also, one of its chapters is there as well. I was hoping that both could be removed, because the fanon is old and is being considered for deletion by the fanonadmins. Thanks!--Avatar Talk 16:09, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I cannot do that. The menu lists stories by order of popularity. The stories you see on that particular menu are the ones that more people have read. Of course, if the fanonadmins delete them, they will no longer appear on the menu. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 16:11, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
- No worries. :) Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 16:15, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Template replacement
Edit
You know, this is quite unnecessary. With the right parser function, we can use the same UC template with different messages for each namespace. ― Thailog 16:41, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
- I prefer having different templates, it's simpler to type out and maintain. Even if we were to use parser functions, text replacement would still be necessary. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 16:42, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
- Argh, my bad, somehow I got parameters and parser functions mixed up. It's really about simplicity in management and simplicity in implementation. It's much faster to make changes to templates when they are kept simple, but it's much easier to remember when there is only one. I went and created a separate template because I personally prefer having separate templates, but if you and the others prefer having the one template, then go ahead. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 16:54, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Okay, that sounds good. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 16:58, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

This Summer by Vaznock As the summer begins to come to an abrupt conclusion, we can only hope that the summer of 2010 will bring us as much fortune and success as this one has. As we look back to all the changes and great ideas that have helped our wiki grow and prosper, we can now only swim in the aftermath of these changes. From April to June, our wiki was put in to major refinement. Because of what happened during those months, we now have a newsletter, a new and better administrative policy, a wiki that allows fanon, and a path that gave way to some immense summer fun and more changes, which includes:
However, our adventures on Avatar Wiki are far from over. In fact, they've just begun, as this Summer marks the beginning of the new Avatar Wiki! For example, it has been said that our wiki is lacking in forums and news. If these aspects are covered, we will become the ultimate Avatar site! So come down and participate this Autumn!
That's right folks, Dao Le, who was an animatic director for Avatar: The Last Airbender and therefore a member of the crew, has officially announced he supports Racebending and finds the casting for Airbender to be racist. The official Racebending.com released this statement given to them by Dao Le himself: BuddyTV reports that Le finds it "hard to believe they couldn't find one Asian actor to hold any of the lead protagonist parts." While doing animatics on the series, Le reportedly "believed" the characters were Asian, or Asian-mixed, and confirms that the series itself is Asian influenced, like many others have stated before - "With the pre-dominantly white cast, it feels like all the Asian/Eastern influences, origins, what have you, were just a backdrop for these characters." Not only this, but several other staff members have stated that they're flabergasted and support Racebending. Like I reported back in June, Sifu Kisu mentioned that legally he's unable to state his opinion, but was able to say that he wants to "say something so bad" and that "some of [the fans] are SO right & [they] don't even know." So only time will tell if even the crew of the show will boycott the movie, or, dare I say, even the co-creators themselves.
We're currently open to new ideas for making a new feature for Avatar Wiki's official newsletter! If you're interested, please submit your ideas on Avatar Wiki talk:The Ba Sing Se Times or email the editors! | |

KTA, I don't think you know the half of what this user has done. He's had multiple sockpuppet accounts, and has even been racist toward a few users. Just because he has the word Azula in his name, it doesn;'t mean he should be unblocked. Plus, his block on another account should be almost over anyway. - The IP has only done it once, so I think it would be harsh to deal a block straight away. Thanks for the notice and fixing my user page. :) Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 04:29, September 13, 2009 (UTC)
- No problem,I just thought he was a vandal or something.--Avatar Talk 13:30, September 13, 2009 (UTC)

Normally, this article would be about what happened. Today, this article is about what hasn't happened, from the editor. And a plea for some action. Chiefly, there are a few projects that need finishing. The most important among these is the article splitting project, which needs to be made a high priority. However, it is discussions where we'll need to pick up the pace. We need to do something about quite a few Improvements and Issues forums. See the discussion list to the right for a summary of the discussions that need immediate attention. The Ba Sing Se Times itself is looking for a new feature. All suggestions will be considered; please suggest on Avatar Wiki talk:The Ba Sing Se Times.
It's been a period of time since we have heard from the producers of The Last Airbender, but in the past week reports have circulated that they are working on a full-length trailer to be released for Christmas. Frank Marshall said on Twitter:
This is a significant gap between the teaser and the full-length, and there has been some criticism that the gap will make it likely for some to "forget" about the film.

Just Making Sure
Edit
So I am correct in posting contributions in the past tense, right?--JFH2009 11:27, September 28, 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, if it's being added to event articles and the history/synopsis sections of articles. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 11:49, September 28, 2009 (UTC)
- What about "Goofs" because that's about all I edit besides Trivia, which I don't use past tense for.--JFH2009 18:48, September 28, 2009 (UTC)
- Could you show me an example? Thanks. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 05:34, September 29, 2009 (UTC)
Tense Thing
Edit
All the overviews seem to be in present, but why isn't that right? They all read for example on The Headband, "Aang and friends steal Fire Nation clothes" not "Aang and friends stole Fire Nation clothes". This is what we want it to be? I can change the synopses back if that's the case. --Energybender 22:09, September 28, 2009 (UTC)
- Or is it just the Goofs section, as that was all he was changing? I'm a little less tenacious about that, as that is not in the description of the episode, and actually sounds a whole lot better. Omnibender was reverted his edits to the Goofs section, but I think those (but not the synopses) sound good in preterite tense. --Energybender 22:23, September 28, 2009 (UTC)
- I just remember reading that present tense only applies to location, creature, and character pages. So I assume that past tense applies to the entire episode page, but I've only been editing goofs. --JFH2009 01:14, September 29, 2009 (UTC)
- The overviews should be written in past tense, because they are describing an event that has occurred. Sections of articles describing places or people or the functionalities of machines etc. should be written in present tense because they are describing them as they appear now. Could I see an example of an edit to goofs? That would help me. :) Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 05:36, September 29, 2009 (UTC)
- Here's one I found in "The Blind Bandit"...
- Present Tense
- During dinner with the Bei Fong Family, Aang uses airbending to cool Toph's soup for her. In the next frame though she has a plate of veggies, then soup again.
- Past Tense
- During dinner with the Bei Fong Family, Aang used airbending to cool Toph's soup for her. In the next frame though she has a plate of veggies, then soup again.
--JFH2009 13:18, September 29, 2009 (UTC)
- If I may share my opinion, I think Goofs (and perhaps Trivia) should be in present tense. Unlike synopses, they are no longer accounts of events, because we have singled them out as individual acts on their own. It is like taking a video that has already been played through and rewinding it back to the point where the goof occurs, then hitting play and saying, "there, that's happening now". Synopses and event accounts should be in past tense though, since they are accounts of what has already transpired. --Secretss 14:35, September 29, 2009 (UTC)
- I would be completely fine with that idea or any other as long as we can come to a consensus on it and post it in the manual for future reference. --JFH2009 17:37, September 29, 2009 (UTC)
I applied rollback with these. Sorry, I had not read these discussion before that. I changed past tense written by JFH2009 to present tense because I thought this was the decision in these days, because I saw that these edits were being changed to present tense. Dcasawang1 - Talk 02:42, September 30, 2009 (UTC)
- Alright Present tense is fine by me. I'll change my old edits. --JFH2009 02:53, September 30, 2009 (UTC)

Fanon:Avatar Princesses
Edit
I need you to bring back the story Fanon:Avatar Princesses Azula as Anastasia I'm going to try to work on the grammer the comas periods and paragraghs and all that so please bring it back--KataraTophAzula 17:31, October 17, 2009 (UTC)
- KTA, don't you already have those at your sandbox? If you mean to make it a fanon page, again, then you would need to work on in it in your sandbox then ask a fanonadmin if meets Standards and then you can make the page again by copying and pasting the stuff from your sandbox.--Avatar Talk 02:24, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
Lion Turtle
Edit
In Flora and Fauna in the World of Avatar the Lion Turtle is listed under Spirit World. Shouldn't it be under "Other" since it constantly travels all over the world. Is there a part where it goes to the spirit world that I just missed? --JFH2009 14:28, November 1, 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree with you. The listings there are not supposed to be by affiliation, but by where the animal is found. Thanks for pointing that out. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 06:17, November 2, 2009 (UTC)
OK, just wanted to make sure before I changed anything. --JFH2009 12:09, November 2, 2009 (UTC)
- No worries, that's fine. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 01:31, November 5, 2009 (UTC)
BSST
Edit
Hey, 888. Not to sound pushy or anything, but its been over a month since the last BSST. Just wondering if you have any plans of releasing the new issue, or....? Thanks. The Flash {talk} 02:35, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
- My bad. There is actually a lack of material to be reported. The only thing that has been posted for inclusion so far is the piece you wrote halfway through October. Not much has actually, really happened since the last issue, which was as bare as could be anyway. However, the new issue will certainly be released this weekend, the 14th of November, but I will have to write most of it. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 06:08, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
- Vaz and Kai should have sent their fanon submissions my now, though... The Flash {talk} 20:50, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, I still haven't. I'm very, very busy and a have little to no time to write. I'll try to write a decent article before Saturday, but I can't promise anything. Kai - Talk 20:53, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
- That's fine. I haven't heard from Vaz for a while, there's nothing from him for this issue yet. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 00:42, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

- That's really weird, though, we did an IRC interview last month and he said he had it all and was ready to send it. I wonder what happened.... The Flash {talk} 01:01, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
- Vaz and Kai should have sent their fanon submissions my now, though... The Flash {talk} 20:50, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I'm wondering too - he hasn't edited since 24 October. Do you have a log of that interview? If not, I think it might a good idea to drop a line via email. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 06:03, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
Can haz? Joey aa 03:30, November 14, 2009 (UTC)
- I'm currently waiting on news about this interview the fanon admins did. If it doesn't arrive in the next few hours, I'll be forced to make a "bare" release, and I'll be writing a column myself. When is the latest you can have this? Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 03:36, November 14, 2009 (UTC)
- I think the 14 hours is more suitable. We'll see how we go. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 06:56, November 14, 2009 (UTC)
Soundtracks Page
Edit
Uhh, so am I not allowed to post info on the progress of a page I'm creating...? Musicbender 01:48, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
- Yes and no. We, like most wikis, don't allow people to comment on articles. However, you can certainly post progress info on the article's talk page. For example, I moved your comment to Talk:Soundtrack of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 06:01, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
OOoohhh, ok, thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Musicbender (talk • contribs). This note was added on 04:33, January 23, 2012 (UTC).
New
Edit
Thanks for the welcome! The eiki is a little to big for me so I really don't know where to start. For now I think it would be ok for me to go over some of the pages to spot some grammatical mistakes, that was my first edit here. Hope i can help here! -- User:Coolbloo12
- You're welcome. :) There's a list of pages that need help at. Hope that helps. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 22:38, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
Problem Report
Edit
Because you auto-watch all pages which you create, you're watching the user_blog_coment: page, and some code turns that data in your watchlist and wherever that is parsed into the parent article. Wait until Wednesday, then watch -> unwatch the parent blog article, and the comments will get unwatched properly. Joey aa 02:07, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
- No, I checked my preferences, and I was not auto-watching pages that I created. I turned off that setting eleven months ago. If I had been auto-watching pages that I created, I'd have quite a lot more pages on my watchlist than I do have. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 02:35, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
MW:Monaco.css
Edit
Just two quick notes -
- user is ns2, user_talk ns3 (4 is project)
- when defining something like you did, where you only wanted it to take effect in a certain namespace (or even page, etc) you have to do define it before every element/id/name, so when using a comma you must still do it.
Thanks. -- Joey aa 00:30, November 25, 2009 (UTC)
- My bad, I'm very out of practice. Thanks for picking it up. :) Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 05:59, November 25, 2009 (UTC)
Bending Styles
Edit
I suggest we do something like this on the main page. --Z31T)6311 03:48, November 25, 2009 (UTC), your man of the world.
- I'm not sure if we need something like that, to be honest. The article Bending Arts is two clicks away from the main page via the "Universe" link, and it's quite easy to find the bending styles on the menu. That's just me though; I think you should suggest this on the main community forum and see what others think. Thanks for the suggestion though. Wjxhuang, the 888th Avatar {Talk} 06:03, November 25, 2009 (UTC)
- Alright. I just think life is easier with navigational template-like things. :D --Z31T)6311 06:14, November 25, 2009 (UTC), your man of the world
