  • Have you wrote the jinora airbening academy yet?

      Loading editor
    • No , I got a lot of problems , because the school in my area is running so fast that I can't have free time.

Jinora will appeare during the first book. she will be 90 but she will be biologically 33 because she drank a type of spiritual magical water that keep the human's age.

Her sons will be working in her academy teaching the airbenders who their ancestors didn't go with the avatar. the youngest son is the father of Haruko, the friend of the avatar.

  • in my culture , you can love anyone who is good. but you can't love all people in the same way. each human should be loved in different way. you can't love a boy in the same way you love a girl. so if you love a boy you should marry, and if you love a girl you should be friends. helping each other, being loyal to each other. so you can't have s*x with any boy or girl you see, we are humans not animals.

Gays and lesbians would agree that there are different kinds of love, and this is why "marry someone of the opposite sex" would not work. They have little to no romantic or sexual love for the opposite sex, so it would be a loveless sham marriage for societal approval.

In light of this, your last sentence does not make sense. A lesbian does not "have sex with any boy or girl she sees," because she wouldn't have sex with boys at all, nor would she have sex with her sister, mother, straight female friends, lesbians in other relationships, or lesbians she just wasn't interested in. Because those are different kinds of love. More on that later.

You should understand, that even if the girl liked two boys she can't marry or getting engaged with both of them, but the boy is different, some male could love two girls in the same time and marry them in the same time.

Okay, so a girl can only marry 1 man, a guy can marry up to 4 women, and nobody can marry someone of the same gender. Doesn't this strike you as being oddly biased in favor of straight men? Why can't women have multiple husbands? Do they have less capacity for love, or something? If this is really about love, then why isn't a mutual romantic attraction sufficient grounds to get married?

The idea of girlfriends and boyfriends is also forbidden. if I liked a girl and wanted to marry , I can't just tell her, "let's go to a dinner", what kind of love is this?? The real love is to find your path with this guy/girl.

Passionate and companionate, according to the "love triangle" theory. According to this theory, there are 3 basic types of "love" that, depending on how they are mixed, define your relationship to that person. Passionate is a strong physical attraction, companionate is a desire to be with and get to know that person, and intimate is knowing them on a deep & personal level. This cuts to the heart of what I was telling you before, "different types of love" is an idea that is known to most cultures in the world. Simply "wanting to have sex with someone" is passionate love, but this is a one night stand, not a date. You may be confused because some people, often men, treat dates as a means to get one night stands, rather than an end unto themselves. But these people are being dishonest, they're acting like they want a serious relationship, but only until they have what they want.

You see, the goal of dating IS "finding your path with that person," but it's also a recognition that there might be NO path, that you might not love each other as much as you initially thought. Going back to that triangle, passionate love is strong at first, but doesn't necessarily stay that way, and a marriage doesn't really work well if it turns out that's all you wanted to be together for or, heavens forbid, if your partner turns out to be an abuser or a criminal. Having a few different sexual partners before marriage is considered a lower risk in comparison.

Dating is not the only way to do this, so you might have some other tradition that I do not know of, but the point remains, if you think that cultures outside of your own define "love" as "kissing, dating, and sex" but NOT with concepts like loyalty, that is inaccurate & frankly a little arrogant.

Also, like Fruipit said, the restrictions on polyamory in some countries (the US, in my case) are based primarily on the dominant religion and the attitude of the people in power. To be brutally honest, whenever people talk about "the right kind of love" when it comes to marriage laws, 9 times out of 10, they're just looking for something they can use to justify their opinion as a fact of nature.

Do you really know what kind of problems that forbidden love- forbidden s*x - gay love can all do to the community , they can destroy it.

I don't think you put forth an adequate explanation for why a few people having relationships with others of the same gender should "destroy the community." As I said in that thread, there are 19 states in the US that currently allow gay marriage. That's almost half. And that's just marriage. We did away with rules that said you could go to jail for being gay back in the 1960's. We're still going strong, and we're not even close to being the most pro-gay culture in the world, several European countries had legal marriage or civil unions before we did.

Also, before the 60's, our country was justifying some pretty messed up things based on logic similar to yours. Authorities would try untested and controversial treatments like lobotomies and electroshock therapy on gay people to try to "fix" them. There were also issues with police brutality and assaults on gay people not being prosecuted, especially because you couldn't just go to the police station and say, "This dude tried to kill me because I'm gay." And the further you went back in history, it only got worse, up to castration and execution.

I don't know what your culture does, but I seriously hope it doesn't make the same mistakes that we did.

    • Okay, then this will be my last comment, but if you don't mind, I'd like to leave a few links that I've started reading in my spare time, to get more context for the Islamic arguments for & against these practices. I obviously hope you'll read them, but if you don't, I won't know the difference. Think of it as something I have to do or else I'll feel guilty later.

So, with that said, I'll see you around, maybe.
