    • Please calm down. There was absolutely no reason for you to get this upset about this all and start yelling at people and insulting them.

As such, I would like you to tone down the attitude and the swearing. We'd love for you to be a part of this community, but that means that you have to meet us halfway. We held a discussion, you were outvoted 6 to 1. Please just move on from that particular point in peace and let it go. Being angry about it and insulting people left and right will not do you any good. It'll only lead in your ability to communicate on your own to be taken away. So please consider this and stop swearing/yelling at people by posting in all caps.

  • Hi there!

First of all, I'd like to thank you for taking an interest in editing on this wiki, new contributors are always very much appreciated :-) However, I noticed that you got caught in an edit war concerning a bit of trivia on the Northern Air Temple with a fellow editor. At this moment, the page has been edit protected to prevent the pointless back and forth edits. This is also done to facilitate conversation on the matter with the other editor with whom you conflicted over this. As such, for future references, if you ever find yourself in disagreement with another editor that has led to an edit war, it's best to just revert to the status quo (meaning the situation the page was in before the edit conflict started -which is in this case the situation without your new trivia) and try to talk it out and come to a consensus with the other user on their wall.

That said, I just like to offer my two cents on the matter. You added, "The final battle could've been prevented if Aang hadn't interrupted the mechanist and War Minister Qin's business." You are correct about that, Qin literally said as much. However, it's not because it's factually correct that it is therefor relevant, because we could add notes like that on every episode page. For example: On "The Desert", Appa would not have been stolen by the sandbenders if Aang had not entered Wan Shi Tong's Library with the others". Or on "The Storm", Zuko would not have gotten his scar if he had not spoken out against the general. Or on "The Crossroads of Destiny", Azula would have lost if Zuko did not side with her.

The point I'm trying to make with that is that we could always make such statements on different episode pages stating what would or would not have happened if something did (not) happen as it did. None of that is particularly interesting to explicitly note on the page, as it is always implied in the text: if A happened in the episode causing B to occur, then it is implied that if I did not happen, B would not have happened either (in most cases anyway, or at least not in the form that it transpired in the episode).

With this, I hope you can understand why your trivia addition has been removed several times already. If you strongly disagree with this, you are more than free to commence a debate about it here, as this is how communities work and grow: communication :-) However, do note that the current consensus is to not have it on the page and it would be appreciated if you could refrain from readding it once the protection on the page expires unless community consensus through debate leads to another outcome.

    Thanks beforehand!

The edit STILL matters, even if you don't think it does.

    • Why do you feel so strongly about this matter? What is your reasoning to deem it so relevant, because I just gave you part of mine for why I don't think it is. That, of course, is just my opinion, but it's an opinion backed up with arguments. So far, all I know why you want to add that particular trivia is because "you think it is", but I don't know why you think it is. Could you thus please clarify?

The deal was that as long as the Mechanist supplied the weapons, the Fire Nation would spare the temple. Aang fucked that up. As Qin said, "The destruction of this temple will be on your (Aang's) head."

    • I already answered that "reasoning" before:
