  • Seems you've been inactive for a long time, which is a shame given how we were making sharing some great ideas with one another before you suddenly left. Are you still around? Because I'd enjoy it if we could go back to our discussions.?

  • It's been so long since we last talked about Left Behind that I nearly forgot about all of this and our little partnership. Are you still around these days? It's been ages since we last talked?

  • Hi, Avatar Vyakara. The image you uploaded to our database does not specify its source or licensing.

    • Source: You need to indicate where the image was taken from by using a {{imagebox}}. In case of screenshots, and if you didn't grab them yourself, you need to acknowledge the site/person who did it. Also, please add a description of the screencap;
    • Licensing: If you have not created this media yourself, then you need to indicate why it can be used here. For this, you need to include the proper image copyright designation on the license field of the {{imagebox}}. If you believe the media falls under the fair use doctrine, then consider reading up on it, and then use the proper fair use license (canon).

If you uploaded other media, consider checking whether you specified their source and licensing, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded here.

To comply with this request, go to the file's edit page, remove the notice and click on Image_Button.png. Then, fill out the appropriate fields as exemplified here. Finally, save the change.

Note that it's your responsibility to properly credit the media you upload, and any unsourced and unlicensed image can be deleted if not correctly specified.

    Thank you.

We'd like to thank you for your creativity in creating a brand new fan fiction story or fanon article.

In order to maintain a high quality of stories on Avatar Wiki, we routinely check new submissions for basic standards. Unfortunately, the sophistication and quality of your new submission was not yet up to our standards, and we have moved your article to User:Avatar_Vyakara/Fanon:Sound_and_Silence.

Once you have improved your article at the location it has been moved to, feel free to leave a message on the admin noticeboard where respondents will again evaluate your article. If standards have been sufficiently met, your article will then be moved back to its original title.

  • I read on the forum you intend to write or own fanfic about Korra regaining the connection to her past lives. Is it going to be on fanfiction.net?

    • Thanks. I always enjoy a good "what-if" story that is in the parameters of plausible. Please let me know when it is done.

    • Nice start to your "Sound and Silence" fanfic. I enjoy how you came up with at least one new Avatar in Toutai. Please let me know when you have the next chapter.

  • Please make sure that when you're creating your fanon pages, you're adding the property and author templates; these are both mandatory for series and chapters pages. Also make sure you are using the series and chapter boxes for those respective pages as needed.

As another tip, try to organize your story pages better - the plot, characters, and chapters sections are most used. This makes your page cleaner and also more complete; a page with just a couple short paragraphs may be moved to userspace for not reaching fanon standards.

    • Got it! I'll try to be more careful in future. Also, sorry about the format; I just have a few too many ideas, I suppose, to put down in such a fragmented form.

    • As a piece of advice, I would be careful posting too many story pages at once and try and focus on one (maybe two) of them - it keeps your attention more centered and would avert the risk of neglecting others.

    • No, no! I mean for fanfiction. As in, if there are names of non-canon characters that need transliterating. All I'm wondering is if I'm allowed to advertise on the forum to come up with glyphs for others' stories, not the canon works.

    • I see - while I appreciate your willingness to take on such an effort, it's not really an absolute need to have fan-made characters' names be transliterated.
