  The idea may be similar to Guardian, but the way you went about it is a little different. I suppose it's not a bad premise for a story, but that's all it really is right now. The first chapter was really short and felt rushed as you jumped around a lot. I'd recommend lengthening it a bit, adding more description and giving the original characters more background and personality.

It’s a fanon-crossover story I’m working on with the authors of Avatar: Energy Saga, Air, Silent Hero in Emerald, the Slash Trilogy, and Avatar- Aftermath and Burning Earth. I am taking care of the character of Eris, which is partially inspired by Seraphine.

  If you're coming up with an idea, I'd say either watch the series or think about the episodes and brainstorm for something that was unexplained or not thoroughly explored that there could be more of a story behind. Alternatively, you could come up with some unique event in the Avatarverse the like of which was not in the canon at all, and then think about the characters you want to use and how the main conflict will pan out.
  Once you've been inspired, I'd say write as much on it as you can. Don't worry if it doesn't come out the way you want it to at first - you can always go back and revise later. In fact, you should before you publish. Write with the heart, rewrite with the mind.
  That's enough to get started on, really. I mean, there's a lot of to-dos and to-don'ts when it comes to writing that I could write a full essay on, but you don't have to worry about every single one of those before you begin. Minnichi and Ty have written some great articles in the WLS recently about writing as well. Of course, each of the authors on here has their own style, many of which has merits of its own. If you don't know your own writing style yet though, that's fine. It takes practice, trial and error to discover.

  This is all just opinions, but I believe that the chosen date is just fine. I don't see a need to shorten the deadline, and the longer it is, the more people have a chance to apply.
