Re: Stupid Question
Edit
I saw your question on Omnibender's talk page, and just so you know, he is an admin, and if you like, a list off all the admins can be found here: Avatar Wiki:Administrators, thanks. Joey - Talk 01:53, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Vote
Edit
If you're still on, would you mind casting a vote for the profile pic at Talk:Sokka? I don't mean to pressure you, but I'm not sure if you're aware of the debate, and I'd like to settle it quickly. Energybender 00:45, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Reminder
Edit
I saw that you erased a portion on the Talk:Sokka Page. I know it is irrelevent, but one can't just remove any data from talk pages. Normallly we archive it. Its not like a normal article. Please bear this in mind. Thank You.

Re: Permission to Use Canon Template
Edit
Of course, you and anyone else can use it. I was going to add it to the TCG related articles but just didn't have time to do it. The canon template isn't mine or anyones, so you don't need permision (From Anyone) to use it. Instructions for use can be found on its page, and if you have any questions go ahead and ask me. Have a nice day. Joey - Talk 22:35, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
Non-Canon
Edit
Where are these non-canonical articles? Tell me the name of one.Mattkenn3 19:58, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure that I would call that non-canonical, even though they never showed up in the series. It was for a card game, but were still part of the Avatar:The Last Airbender story.Mattkenn3 20:10, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
In fact, this reminds me of something off of Wookiepedia, the Star Wars Wikia. A character named Serra Keto was made only for a video game. She was still canon because the video game was made by the producers of Star Wars and this video game actually added this information to the Star Wars story, making this character a canon character.
But if these cards were made by some random person or manufacturer that has nothing to do with Avatar:The Last Airbender, they would be non-canon.Mattkenn3 20:18, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- So you mean that these manufacturers had nothing to do with the series and had no affiliation with the creators/producers of Avatar? They just made the ideas up and printed them up just like that?Mattkenn3 20:21, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- To an extent? Clarify this. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk or anything, I'm just trying to help. I'm just trying get all of the information you know, and make it to where I know it as well as you. So what did you mean by "to an extent"?Mattkenn3 20:24, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
I understand what you mean. But, because they did have an affiliation withe the creators/producers, they were able to make these characters. Even though these characters were not in the actual series, they are canon characters and they play a part in the Avatar:The Last Airbender story. Do you understand what I'm saying?Mattkenn3 20:33, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
Also, I knew you did clarify, I had added the comment only seconds before you added yours.Mattkenn3 20:34, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
I don't want to start another debate around here, but you and the other admins' are wrong:) It is canonical information and you admins can keep it as you like, but the public will go off thinking that it is non-canon of fanon information when it is not. You guys might want to look into that or have a forum discussion. Thanks for the chat, it was....interesting.Mattkenn3 20:41, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
If they blocked me for that, then they shouldn't be admins. They should be open to the views of all users and participate in these kind of "debates". If they are told they are wrong, they should use factual information to prove to the user that they are right, and help him better understand. Not block the user.Mattkenn3 20:47, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
I love how ironic this is. I don't think they are non-canon. But, If they are going to be listed as non-canon, get them out of the canon Avatar Wiki.Mattkenn3 20:59, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
Maybe, as I said earlier, have a forum discussion and a vote to see what to do with these articles. What do you say?Mattkenn3 21:02, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
But you can't trust random things people say. It needs to have a good source so it can be proven.Mattkenn3 21:32, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
Yes, I see. Omnibender showed me everything.Mattkenn3 18:42, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
Re: Vandalism!
Edit
To easily undo any vandalism or simply a bad edit, just go to the history and click undo at the last edit, if there were more then one foul edit, go to the last positive edit, and simply revert to that, thanks. Joey - Talk 02:12, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Hi
Edit
Just came here to tell ya that I like your Page.
Nini
Edit
That is possible but it pure speculation which we don't host. Speculation can happen a lot with this show so we would already have extremely long pages if we added all speculation. Any other comments or questions can be put on Energybender's talk page, thanks. Joey - Talk 23:47, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- I'd also left a similar comment on Talk:Little Boy's Mother if you want to leave a comment there. Energybender - Talk 18:10, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Re:Vandals
Edit
Hi, yeah I have also noticed the multiple vandalizing Ip's, but I can't block them because I am not an admin. I suggest recording the IP's and giving them to say Omnibender or another admin (Here's a list of all of them). Also, try to undo the vanadlism immediately as soon as you notice it, thanks. Joey - Talk 22:06, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Signature
Edit
I saw your question at Energybender's talk page, here's what you have to do: click on the orange more button on the top right corner of the page, select "my preferences", you'll get to a user profile page, one of the items there is signature, just put the "raw" code of what you want, kinda like you do when you to put a link to a page, but with another title. Omnibender - Talk 23:39, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
- After that, for example you would input: [[User:Alex101313|Alex101313]] - [[User talk:Alex101313|Talk]] Energybender - Talk 21:24, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
- Okay nevermind, it looks like you've already done it. Energybender - Talk 21:25, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
Alex, you should edit your signature so that there is one space between your name the talk link. It looks better. Energybender - Talk 20:39, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
IP Adress Vandals
Edit
Thanks, the first two were already blocked, I missed the third one cause someone had already undone the vandalism. Omnibender - Talk 21:18, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
I've already blocked that one too, when you find one vandal edits, you can see if they've been blocked, just check their contributions, and near the title of that page, there's a block log button, click there and you'll see if the person has been blocked, by whom, the reason they were blocked, what was disabled for them and the block's lenght. You can also see the block log. Omnibender - Talk 20:49, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
The two with accounts were already blocked, but I couldn't check the other two, their contributions history was blanked, meaning either someone erased them, which would show somewhere, or the pages they edited on were deleted, so it's probably one of the pages that were deleted yesterday when I had no Internet (codes and how to make an avatar movie). Omnibender - Talk 18:37, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Not at all. Omnibender - Talk 17:39, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Quotes
Edit
It is on Avatar Wiki talk:Administrators. The last headline. Mattkenn3 Talk 01:12, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
I sure will. Also, do you know of any other community forums or activities going on right now? Mattkenn3 Talk 01:16, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. If you need any help, I'm here. Mattkenn3 Talk 01:19, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
I forgot, look at Sokka's talk page. What do you think. Please voice your opinion. Mattkenn3 Talk 01:21, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
I see. I support having quotes, but I don't like the way these are set up. Let me see if I can find a better way to do this. Mattkenn3 Talk 00:46, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Re:Quotes
Edit
Hello! Sorry it took so long to reply to your message. Shortly after I put that rant on the Admin Talk page, something came up IRL, and I didn't have time for a while to do anything here. I see you'd like to to become part of the discussion concerning quotes. I originally put it on the admin talk page, because I thought it would be for admins only. However, you should be part of the discussion if you want to be, and Mattken too, so I can see about either creating a forum where any registered user can respond, something we've never done before, but I assume we can do, or we can start something on a character's talk page. Thank you. Please get back to me as I discuss this with the other admins. Puragus - Talk 23:38, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
That seems to make sense. Unless I'm not remembering correctly, I think Omnibender already raised the question on Aang's Talk Page. Puragus - Talk 23:51, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Not yet. We are planning on starting a community forum so that all users have the chance to voice their opinion on the matter. Puragus did say that he was going to talk to the other admins about it too. So, I am waiting for him to get back, then we can get the forum started. Mattkenn3 Talk 21:59, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Powerless? What do you mean? There is no power. Administrators have no power. Bureaucrats have no power. Regular users have no power. There is no power involved in a wiki. The admins only have a few more buttons to push. We all work together to help make the wiki the best that can be. If you feel powerless, nothing will change. So, I advise you to become more active in the community and the site. If you work hard to make this wiki better, the others will respect you. You will eventually be granted administratorship if you work hard enough. Remember, admins have no more power than you. They only have a few more tools to help the wiki become better. You are just as powerful as they are. Don't let anyone tell you different. We work as community. Mattkenn3 Talk 22:11, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Hey, when you find any articles that need deleting, please tell me. I'm on the hunt. I want to get rid of all the junk articles. So when you find some, please tell me. Mattkenn3 Talk 02:11, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
You might like to know that the discussion on quotes has (finally) started on Avatar Wiki talk:Community Portal, so you can share your opinions about the quotes with other users there. Puragus - Talk 09:17, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. I'm tired of sitting around. It is time for me to make a difference. As for the Green Day question, no. Why? What does that have to do with this? Mattkenn3 Talk 01:57, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll look into that. Mattkenn3 Talk 03:25, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
User of the Month
Edit
Hello, sorry I'm not as active as I should be, but I have a HUGE European project to work on. But, I would appreciate it if you would vote for my User of the Month proposal on Avatar Wiki talk:Community Portal. Thank you. Mattkenn3 Talk 18:30, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
Yes, I see. But, still don't approve. Perhaps we could come up with a better name, as trivia seems too unprofessional. Maybe Behind the scenes or Extra material. Something that sounds better than Trivia. Also, if we are going to have this information, we need to list it in an organized manner. How do you feel about that? Mattkenn3 Talk 00:53, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
On some articles, the information is jumbled up and doesn't look too good. I have fixed most that I have seen like that. That is what I meant by organized. I like to see bullets on info like that. Thanks, Mattkenn3 Talk 01:11, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Battles
Edit
Thanks for fixing Battle in Old Ba Sing Se for me; I was just about to get to the parts of the article I accidently left in, but I had to edit quickly before an edit conflict came. Energybender - Talk 23:14, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Battle on the Drill looks good with so much work put into it. Now, the same needs to be done for Battle in Old Ba Sing Se. I like how Siege of the North is coming along, too. Energybender - Talk 23:56, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Earth Bomb
Edit
I think we can all agree that some users will try to put moves that they've imagined into this wiki; it's happened before. However this is a case where I think it was an actual move that was not included in the page (even if it was poorly written). However, you might be right and I could be wrong, but I have a suggestion: whenever a new move suddenly appears on a bending page, the knowledgeable users discuss it (possibly with the user who put it there) before removing or keeping it. What do you think? What should the criteria be for deciding this? Puragus Talk 04:42, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Edit
I'd like to talk to you about an exchange on Talk:Super Deformed Shorts:
- Sholdnt we say something about how the super deformed charecters are us in avatar the last airbender: into the inferno - thallett
Now, you're a good and dedicated user here, but I've got to be honest, I think you were a little rude to this User. You took a tone as if you were ordering him around. You can ask him to sign his posts with four tildes and to type his links properly, but commanding him to do it is going over the line. In addition, you tried speaking for the entire wiki by declaring "what this page is about". You probably should have said something like "in my opinion" or "it's better if" or "it's been the policy that".
I realize that, thanks to Mattken3, we're trying to make the admins less authoritative. However, one of the jobs of an admin is to make sure all the Users are courteous to each other. If this wiki is supposed to be democratic, then it only works if everyone respects everyone else, and you were disrespectful to this User. If you do that again, I will block you from editing for one week. So please, for the sake of the wiki and yourself, try to show respect. Puragus Talk 03:43, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
It's fine. Thank you for being candid. I hope we can continue to work together to improve this wiki. Puragus Talk 04:13, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Edit
Excellent work Alex, I didn't even notice that until now, I am highly impressed with this finding. I will alert all the other users about this on the Community Portal and we'll see what will happen. A direct link to that can be found here and once again great work. Joey - Talk Contribs 03:22, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

- Good work, your notice of that error has saved us from a vandal (who I think is the original Kevin in the first place). And by the way, great job on Omnibender's "master vandal list" as well. For your effort, you've received this:
Energybender has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling at someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Happy editing!

A year. Seemed appropriate, maybe he can edit here when he grows up enough not to make things up and put it here. Puragus Talk 21:27, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
LOL. Do you like the Boondocks? Because what you said reminded my of an old plot in the original comic strip, where Huey and Caesar plot to get Condoleezza Rice a boyfriend so she wouldn't be so hell-bent on destroying the universe. Puragus Talk 21:41, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
I am guessing that I have to see this show to understand this but, Puragus sounds like a wacko-nut trying to explain it. Ha. Sorry, it sounds funny. Mattkenn3 Talk 22:22, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Re:Welcome template
Edit
I didn't; I put {{subst:welcome}}, which resulted in the worded text. You should always do this instead of just putting the welcome template because the former results in editable text rather than only reading {{welcome}}, which looks worse. Energybender 17:50, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Go ahead, try it on User talk:Gladehawk (lol, that rhymes). Energybender 17:56, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, you took too long. Anyway, can you go to Avatar Wiki talk:Votes for Deletion and leave a message under the "Archives" section? As you do that, I'll respond at the community portal. Energybender 18:02, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
See for yourself when you go there. The basic argument there is over how we should format the votes for deletion archives. Check out the entire section, especially the bottommost paragraphs to get the gist of it, and leave your suggestions. Energybender 18:11, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Re:War Years on Invasion of the Fire Nation
Edit
I wanted to tell you why I undid it in an edit summary, but for some reason "undo" wasn't working for me, so I had to do a rollback. Think about the timeline for a second. The war began in the year 1000, and ended in the year 1101. The section of the article where the year was mentioned said that Team Avatar went into the library in 1001, before the anon edited it. If that were true, our heroes would have been pretty old when they defeated Ozai. Puragus Talk 02:27, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

It looks like you're part of Heroes Wiki now. Good luck, Alex. Sites like those have a much stricter atmosphere about them. If I ever choose to start watching Heroes, it'll be out of pressure that everyone else is. Here's the first thing you should know: People tend to be more snippy than on Wikia, because in the tbroad perspective, they are running their own website. Don't be downcast if things start out badly. That's how I adjusted on Bulbapedia, you know; and how I will when I eventually join Heroes Wiki. --Energybender 18:41, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
