Mango bar

Mangoes can be made into a fresh beverage.

The mango is an edible fruit, typically served as a breakfast food, although it can also be made into a beverage in a bar-like establishment at the Misty Palms Oasis. The homonymous drink is made by slicing a variety of mangoes and other fruit and mixing them in an ice bowl with liquid. As a finishing touch, these drinks are served with a straw and, for aesthetic purposes, a miniature umbrella.

History

Upon Team Avatar's stay in Makapu Village, Katara considered eating a mango for breakfast, but reluctantly settled for a papaya due to Aunt Wu's prompting.[1]

When Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph traveled to the Misty Palms Oasis, they entered the local bar, where they saw Professor Zei order one of the quenching drinks made from the fruit for the price of one gold piece. After watching the bartender make the drink using his dual ninjatos, Sokka stated that he "[saw] nothing wrong with having one of those fruity beverages".[2]

Team Avatar enjoyed this fruit for breakfast sometime after the dance party they threw. Momo and Appa had gathered mangoes during the night while the rest of the team was still sleeping. However, in the morning, Sokka received all the credit for the fruits' appearance while the animals got berated for being "lazy" for sleeping in after their nighttime adventure.[3]
