Longshot is a silent archer and member of the group of Earth Kingdom rebels called the Freedom Fighters.
Longshot is a brave and wise warrior whose opinions are greatly valued by his peers. Even though he rarely speaks, his friends can understand his ideas and concerns by reading his facial expressions. Longshot is loyal to the Freedom Fighters and their quest to support the Earth Kingdom in ending the war.

According to Jet, his town was burned down by the Fire Nation, but there is still mysteriousness about his personal history. The other freedom fighters look to him in times of need or when seeking advice, and although he usually does not speak his thoughts, they seem to understand him. He was last seen in the Dai Li's underground base submerged beneath Lake Laogai, alongside Smellerbee and an injured Jet, having urged Aang's group to follow after Appa, which is the only time he is heard speaking. The final frames illustrate Longshot notching an arrow. His current position is unknown.
