Kuzon was a friend of Aang from the Fire Nation before Aang became frozen in the iceberg, one hundred years before the beginning of the series. Aang first mentioned Kuzon in "The Blue Spirit" to Zuko. It is unknown whether Kuzon was a Firebender or not. Aang later calls himself Kuzon to disguise himself in a Fire Nation school in "The Headband".
