"This is water from the Spirit Oasis at the North Pole. It has special properties, so I've been saving it for something important." |

Added by ThailogA vial filled with Spirit Water was given to Katara by Pakku just before Team Avatar's journey to Earth Kingdom. The vial contained a small amount of water from the Northern Water Tribe's Spirit Oasis.[2]
History
Edit
Master Pakku gave Katara an amulet filled with Spirit Water when Team Avatar departed from the Northern Water Tribe, telling her that the water possessed special healing properties, having been taken from the Spirit Oasis.[3]

Added by Lady LostrisLater, when Katara was imprisoned in the Crystal Catacombs of Old Ba Sing Se with Zuko, she prepared to heal Zuko's scar with the water, but before she had the chance, Aang and Iroh arrived on scene and she left with Aang. Shortly after, during the battle that ensued between Azula, Zuko, Aang, and Katara, Aang entered the Avatar State only to be struck by Azula's lightning. To revive Aang, Katara healed his fatal wound, using up the Spirit Water in the process.[1]
Several weeks later, when told by Zuko that failing to redirect lightning could be fatal, Aang attempted to dismiss this concern, referring to Katara's healing abilities and the Spirit Water; however, he was told by Katara that she had none left after Azula's attack.[4]
