The Hospital is situated in Song's Village, a modest sized village where most of the indigenous population appear to be a small community of farmers on the outskirts of the village with a small inner community.

[edit] Description

Consisting of one building mainly single story, with a double story section in the middle; while inside ample space for a triage, general treatment area and further patient facilities. In the large treatment room there are multi-draw cupboards for the storage of herbs and other medicinal supplies, open cupboard units for various medical apparatus, treatment tables for patients to sit and lie down as well as benches for waiting. There are many windows providing plenty of working light along with creating an ambient atmosphere for patients. Hospital staff numbers are unknown, there is at least one medical practioner and one nurse called Song.

[edit] History

The village clearly needed more than a just a medical practice and had long since outgrown the uses of herbalists alone. Expansion and a need to provide treatment for a prosperous, and perhaps accident prone, farming community that was ready to modernize.

Due to it's location, bringing travelers by road and river, the hospital is an ideal boost to the economy. For an apparently small village community, it does well to provide such a facility. It is not known whether there are overnight beds or to what extent they are able to provide treatment. Song treated Iroh in the hospital when he had a self-inflicted rash while making tea with a plant that he thought was white dragon, which turned out to be white jade.
