Real-world

"Fruit Stand Freestyle" is a comic book that takes place in Book One: Water, originally released by Nick Mag Presents: Avatar: The Last Airbender on September 18, 2007,[1] and later released by Dark Horse Comics in Avatar: The Last Airbender — The Lost Adventures. Certain local bookstores put this edition of Nick Mag Presents on the market a few days earlier than advertised, making "Fruit Stand Freestyle" available on September 14 in select locations.[2]

Overview

A boar-q-pine chases Momo through a marketplace when the lemur attempts to steal some fruit.

Synopsis

Momo crawls stealthily toward a cart full of fruit, wary of a sleeping boar-q-pine nearby. When he reaches out to grab one of the fruits, the boar-q-pine awakens and attacks Momo, causing the lemur to take to the air with the cart of fruit clenched in his grip. As Momo tries to fly over the uppermost part of a passageway, the boar-q-pine bites down on his tail, causing Momo to lose altitude with the increased load. This turns out to be a mixed blessing: with Momo's tail curled around the passageway and the boar-q-pine unable to let go of his tail without possibly injuring himself, the boar-q-pine must watch as Momo nibbles on the fruit that he can no longer reach.
