Hey, I've recently learned that if an article gets over 100 comments, it is made to be move protected. Now that the talk page button has been placed there, does that mean that there should be a rule for the amount of ....sutff on a talk page? And once it reaches this amount, it would be move protected? Whaddya ya'll think?

- I oppose. The reason pages are move protected when they reach 100 comments is because moving is not instant, and it can take a very long time to move all the comments. So if a vandal moved the page, it would have to be moved back and the resulting redirect would be deleted, meaning that all those comments would be deleted too, and it would take a long time to manually undelete them all. - Personally I don't see why a talk page should ever be renamed from its parent article...I've never seen a case of that happening before. If anyone ever sees that happening it should probably immediately be reverted already, but that has never happened. It is true it can happen, having a talk page be a different name than its parent, which sounds to me like a flaw in wikia. My opinion there, anyway. Vulmen (talk • EoK) 02:33, August 30, 2012 (UTC)
What about something that has a combination of talk page posts and comments that equals 100?TheLoKnessmonster (wall • contribs) 02:49, August 30, 2012 (UTC)
