The greetings badge issue is a bug which is for Wikia to fix. |

Now, I don't know if this has happened to everybody, but the 'Greetings' badge does not seem to work. It is entirely possible that it is because it is for the old (?) talk page. If that is the case, I propose a change for 'Message Wall', else new users cannot collect that badge. If it is supposed to work, I would like to know why it doesn't work for myself, personally. I'm not sure how many other people this affects. Fruipit (wall • contribs) 03:34, June 15, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm afraid there's nothing that we can really do here. It's a Wikia issue, when we switched from talk pages to message walls in early February, it became impossible to earn that badge. Annawantimes (Talk) 03:38, June 15, 2012 (UTC)
- I know it's quite irrelevant, but it bugs me as well, as I have all gold badges on my earning list (except the "Cat Owl" badge, but it doesn't appear there). I actually think that it was before February that the change was made, as I joined on the 25th of January (except if you are talking for 2011), and there were message walls already. Matey Y. - Per above, there's nothing that can be done here. Wikia would have to make some adjustments to the Achievements feature. Technology Wizard Wall Contribs 04:06, June 16, 2012 (UTC)
- Badges are the coolest thing Wikia came up to incite users to edit, but we don't need to be so attached to them really. They're nice and all, and they are a great and important part of the identity portrait any wiki detains, but they must not be the central goals of our edits. (I want the Catowl badge too *¬* #RatavaWantsBadgesToo xD~ lol) I think there's something bureaus/admins can do to "substitute" the loss of the talk-page badge (that I don't remember its actual name right now), which is to settle a new category to track (I guess a good idea would be something related to LoK articles, based on page edits/creation.) What do you think? Or this could be adding something unnecessary? Or overcomplicating things? Master Ratava熱沓霸師傅 11:42, June 16, 2012 (UTC)
I strongly doubt that will happen. Matey Y. (talk • A:TLoM)
