This page is place where the community of the Avatar Wiki fanon portal choose high-quality fanon stories and fanon articles to be featured on the fanon main page.

Featured fanon series are fanon stories that stand up to fanon policies and are written of a high quality with proper grammar, setup, and templates. This holds true for every page within that fanon’s area under its category tree.
Featured fanon articles can be any individual fanon article which is written to high quality standards and distinguishes itself as a model fanon article. Any images, templates and formats used on such pages are well put together. Both featured fanon series and featured fanon articles are nominated and voted upon on this page.

Procedures Edit

  • Nominations and voting for a given month will take place throughout the month preceding it.
  • Users may not nominate their own fanon series or fanon article. Users may not nominate each other's fanon series or fanon articles (e.g. A can't nominate B and B nominate A in the same month).
  • Users must be registered with 50 edits and be a regular contributor for a month to be able to vote or nominate.
    • Users who have been absent for extended periods of time (3 months or more) will be considered as "new users" for the purposes of this process and must follow the procedure above before being able to vote or nominate.
  • For both the featured series and the featured article, a minimum of five people must cast their votes for the nominated fanon to be featured.
    • The fanon series with the highest number of votes will be the featured fanon series. The fanon article with the highest number of votes will be the featured fanon article. At the end of the month, a fanonbender will update the page accordingly.

Avatar: The Journey of Tala Edit

This brilliantly written tale has come to it's spectacular conclusion, the first of an epic fan saga. I'm happy to have been a small part of this well-crafted story that Kuir's brought to life. It expanded into something much more than anticipated, and managed to captivate me and other readers with characters and scenes that make you wish this was canon after Korra! On behalf of my friend, I submit this to be acknowledged as the best fanon series on our wiki!

Also, while Tala has ended, and although Chilary's story is laugh-out loud hysterical, he doesn't really deserve the recognition. Especially seeing as how he still needs to....FINISH WRITING THE NEXT CHAPTER!! IT'S BEEN ALMOST SEVEN MONTHS!

In retrospect, I take back my earlier harsh words. Although his story hasn't progressed much in the last seven monthes, TGWLOK is a funny and well-written story in it's own right. It deserves recognition as well, but I'd just prefer at the moment to see Kuir's likewise amazing epic finally be acknowledged after four failed tries at the featured fanon status. Tala is one of those fanons that sneaks up on ya. To be honest, I wasn't expecting any great, but I was pleasantly surprised by Kuir's writing. Good job. I'm sorry, but CrimsonShogun, your words are not kind and it's kind of harassing people as you said "he doesn't really deserve the recognition." What? I see there are some people who just write fanons that need to be cleaned up, but they still need some recognition. We cannot solely say "he doesn't really deserve the recognition." because there is better out there; can you even dare to say "A's fanon doesn't need recognition, but B's one deserves. It's better!" I was about to vote for this, but then I read the rest of the nomination. That's downright rude to say that about The Gaang Watches the Legend of Korra just because you want JOT to be featured. I don't understand why TGWTLOK doesn't deserve recognition. Because of your words, the JOT nomination just lost a vote.

The Gaang Watches The Legend of Korra Edit

The Kyoshi Chronicles Edit

This fanon is written really well. Fits the adventure genre perfectly; good characters, good build up, cliff hangers, development, action, imagery.
