I am strongly towards adding comic canon appearances. This was an issue that was already somewhat solved, but never got the officially "stamp" of approval. You can view it here. Now there's really not much to say. This is what AvatarRokusGhost basically summed it up for me.
We are an Avatar encyclopedia and we should include all appearances and information where it is relevant. According to this page only "New Recruits" and "Gym Time" are not considered to be canon. We should include all comic appearances as though they were episodes, but they shouldn't be formatted in the same place the episodes are. They should have their own section of the appearances list below the ATLA episodes.
I cut out some stuff.
Before anyone argues that it's not Canon. Yes, yes it is 100% considered canon.
Before anyone says it's irrelevant and doesn't pertain to the series. My answer: While some are somewhat pointless, let's not forget that we are a Avatar Wiki, focusing on canon, irrelevant or not, it is still Avatar and it is still canon. If we use the logic that it's pointless, then we might as well take out "The Great Divide", "Nightmares and Daydreams", and "Tales of Ba Sing Se" from appearances too. I really have nothing else to say here. I hope some of you guys actually get what I am trying to say and not completely ignore my points that I am bringing out, please if someone is going to oppose, at least bring up a very strong argument that opposes my points. Which I don't think there would be considering I brought up everything that could be argued against.
We have to remember that we are a Avatar Wiki. Not focusing on the episodes, but on everything. Thanks for your time guys. Quack.

- Yes, I support this. However, I think all comics should be in their own section under the appearance header - so far we have ATLA, TLoK, The Promise, and we can have one for generic comics. I say that because we can't pinpoint when exactly they take place in the timeline for all of them, so we should group them together. --AvatarRokus Ghost (Message me • Read my fanon)

- Agreed per ARG and Ducks. Gods Rule!

Why should we separate the Promise from the other comics?TheLoKnessmonster (wall • contribs) 21:44, September 11, 2012 (UTC)
- Because The Promise trilogy is considered to be a graphic novel if I remember correctly and the other are just comics. Lady Lostris (talk • HotN) 08:14, September 12, 2012 (UTC)
- The Promise and The Search Trilogy, and most of The Lost Adventures are considered as canon. However, we can't just pointed all of them as appearances, and one/two of them are only a filler-story, like the Fruit Stand Freestyle and those Non-canonical stories. As LL stated, we only knew that The Promise is the official canon-comic of the series, support the proposal. Only for The Promise and The Search. Acer Evan Seek anything about fanon!

I support the proposal. Filler or non-filler, the canon comics should all be included in the appearances section.TheBigO Fan

- Should we seperate The Promise and The Search once The Search comes out, or should we group them together?TheLoKnessmonster (wall • contribs) 21:20, September 12, 2012 (UTC)
- @Big-O :Some comics aren't considered as canon, such as "New Recruits" and "Gym Time". I think it'll be better if both of them aren't counted as canon. Acer Evan Seek anything about fanon!

So making sure I get what we're agreeing to here, where going to add comics apearences except "Gym Time" and "New Recruits" in a separate sub heading. Now should we put said sub heading before the promise sub heading or after?TheLoKnessmonster (wall • contribs) 02:06, September 16, 2012 (UTC)
- I think The promise should have it's own sub heading, as it currently has and the other comics listed in a separate sub heading.TheBigO Fan

- Since the comics take place during the original series, I say we should put the Comics sub-heading before The Promise's sub-heading. GhostUser (wall • contribs) 02:23, September 16, 2012 (UTC)
- I think we should put all comics except Gym Time, New Recruits, The Promise and The Search under a universal sub-heading, the former two non-canon ones under no subheading, and The Promise and The Search (along with subsequent similar works) under their separate sub-headings, as they are longer stories and they take place after the ATLA show. --AvatarRokus Ghost (Message me • Read my fanon)

- I think there was confusion about what I was saying. The sub headings should be present as ARG said, but what I was asking, and what ghostuser answered, was what their relative location should be on the page. I was on a mobile device so there was some misspellings and mistypings. So should the generic comics appearances go after the A:TLA ones but before The Promise and The Search ones, after The Promise and The Search but before LoK, or after LoK? TheLoKnessmonster (wall • contribs) 17:10, September 16, 2012 (UTC)
- Oh, okay. Absolutely before The Promise, then. All the comics included in that heading unambiguously take place before The Promise. --AvatarRokus Ghost (Message me • Read my fanon)

ATLA --> Lost Adventures --> The Promise --> The Search, is how I would prefer it.

- Don't forget LoK. GhostUser (wall • contribs) 02:18, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
- I like the SparksFromHades order, or putting them after LoK because they're not perfectly time identifiable and we might get a LoK comic. If we choose the first one we could list LoK comics separately. TheLoKnessmonster (wall • contribs) 02:30, September 18, 2012 (UTC)
- I think they should come before LoK for now. If we get a LoK comic in the future, we can worry about it then. --AvatarRokus Ghost (Message me • Read my fanon)
