I would like to propose adding a "Bureaucrat" tag to bureaucrat user pages which would replace the "Administrator" tag they currently have. Similar to how the "Rollback" tag was recently added, only this would replace the "Administrator" tag. Another thing I also think we should change is not listing bureaucrats under the administrators page, but instead only listing them under the bureaucrats page. Thanks you, SixMoodyDwarves

- Uhh, no. Bureaucrats are quite different than admins, and only two admins are bureaucrats. Due to the definition of a bureaucrat, the user belongs in both categories. End of story. As for the labels, the additional segregation of titles is done on other wikis, but this isn't as formal a wiki hierarchy as the others, so the positions don't stick out like a sore thumb. If we have the Administrator and Rollback tag, why not a Bureaucrat tag? I support the proposal. ThebigOfan 18:06, August 19, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm unsure the tag could be that useful. I'm neutral. Dcasawang1 • wall 18:30, August 19, 2012 (UTC)
- It doesn't do much, but it still clearly states the hierarchy. The admin tag can still be kept. Support. Matey Y. (talk • A:TLoM)

- It's a question of practicality, not if it can be done. As there are only two, it doesn't make much sense. Then again on other wikis, two is sometimes the norm. Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem 00:25, August 20, 2012 (UTC)

- I'm agree for removing the Bureaucrats in Administrators list. As we know they are work fine, but I'm quite afraid if 5 "normal" administrators and 2 "special" administrators would help. In my mind, why not we open 2 more slots for administrators? I'm quite sure my words would be declined.Acer Evan Seek anything about fanon!

Bureaucrats are administrators as well, so there is no need to remove them from that list. They have an adjusted introduction on both pages, so that works just fine. As for the adaption of their tag, that's up to them really. I do not care at all what it says, as both would be correct, and usually people are looking for an administrator, not necessarily a bureaucrat, so the added value of that tag seems rather slim to me. - I don't see the point is the tag. Most people who don't know 888 and Vulmen are bureaucrats they don't even know what bureaucrats do. So the tag isn't really informative. ― Thailog 10:04, August 22, 2012 (UTC)
- That is a good point. The proposal here is playing on technicalities, but really, either tag would do. But I do lean towards keeping the Administrators tag for the bureaucrats - it's not about "hierarchy", but the tasks that they can do in relation to other users, and we don't want to confuse newer users about this for no reason, on a whim.
