Damon Gupton is an African American actor. He assumed the position of Assistant Conductor with the Kansas City Symphony for the 2006-2007 season. Gupton received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Michigan, then went on to earn his diploma from The Drama Division of the Juilliard School in New York. He played Monk Gyatso in The Last Airbender and will return in The Last Airbender 2.
