Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Path of Zuko is a puzzle-solving video game for the PC and Mac based upon the third book of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The design of the game is in a super-deformed "chibi" style similar to the Avatar shorts.

Plot[]

The game focuses on the events of Book Three entirely from the perspective of Prince Zuko. It begins with Zuko arriving back in the Fire Nation after the victory over Ba Sing Se and chronicles his decision to help Avatar Aang defeat the Fire Nation.

The objective of the game is to help Prince Zuko navigate through seven missions, collecting objects along the way to assist him. The player must make their way through different mazes and, by firebending, punching, and dragging, solve the puzzles so they can find keys to unlock doors.

The Path of Zuko also has a minigame that restores Zuko's chi.

Gameplay[]

Screen3

Zuko stands near a waterfall.

The entire game is played using only the mouse. Players click on the ground to indicate where they wish to move Zuko. By clicking on him and dragging the mouse toward enemies before letting go, players can shoot fire in that direction; dragging is also used when they wish for the character to move an item. Clicking can also be used to punch enemies or to break open objects.

At the start of the game, the player is taken to the local dojo where Zuko begins to learn how to firebend. This part is a tutorial section to introduce the player to the interface. Players can select different attacks by clicking on the different symbols at the bottom of the screen, such as punching and shooting fireballs. Different attacks can also be selected with hotkeys, the numbers 1 through 5; as the player progresses through the game, Zuko will gain more attacks to use in combat. There are also several puzzles along the game, requiring the player to push blocks in a certain way, or light urns in a specific order of pattern.
