"It wasn't a decision, it was just a small mistake." |
— The banished servant explaining her error to Azula.[1] |
This banished servant was one of many Fire Nation royal servants that served the Royal Family. She was previously part of the all-female staff entrusted with assisting Princess Azula, but was banished at the princess' behest after making a small mistake with her food.[1]
History[]
This servant girl was among a group of women that attended to Princess Azula prior to her coronation as Fire Lord. She offered the princess cherries from a bowl, but had neglected to ensure they were free of pits, as Azula discovered when she ate one. The princess became furious with the young girl and demanded to why there was a pit in her cherry on "the most important day of [her] life". The servant girl timidly explained that she had not left the pit in on purpose, and that it was "just a small mistake". Her response enraged Azula, who denied that it was a small mistake due to the chance of her choking on it and possibly dying. The servant girl begged for forgiveness, and Azula decided that, as it was a special day, she would "show mercy" and chose to banish her instead. The young girl was subsequently ordered to leave the Fire Nation Royal Palace immediately.[1]
