|Prologue||Yuko attends a concert with her guardian, Tom. Meanwhile, Seiji goes on a mission to rescue hostages from an observatory. His general tells him to return to his post but sneaks into the observatory as the Dai Li captain was talking to Azula (unbeknownst to Seiji), and Seiji was imprisoned for getting the hostages killed (even though they were beforehand). Meanwhile, Avatar Aang is interviewing two teens, Sugimura and Shizuku. The invasion occurs, and Tom is injured and returns Yuko to the palace with both of them alive, and Seiji's general, Iroh, is revealed to be a traitor for Azula. Seiji kills his former general after a long Agni Kai, and events lead up to how the four teens arrived in a complete non-bending dimension.|
|Chapter 1||Yuko, Seiji, Sugimura, and Shizuu crash-land in an unknown dimension while fleeing the evil Azula, who has conquered their hometown, Republic City. They try to blend in with the non-bending society by going to high school at the nearby town of Denver, Colorado. During their first day at school, Azula sends a fire spirit to destroy Yuko. While battling the spirit, Seiji, Sugimura, and Shizuku use their bending skills to create a fire-earth-water thing, later known as the Alien Elemental Thing and defeat the spirit, with some help from the mysterious Haku.|
|Chapter 2||Yuko visits the mall to buy furniture for their new home, but Seiji sees everyone around them as enemies, leading to a confrontation with mall security. Seiji firebends in Yuko's defense, attracting the attention of a five-headed spirit sent by Azula. Seiji tries to redeem himself for the mess he has caused by being swallowed so that he can destroy the spirit's power core from within. Later, Haku takes security footage of Seiji's bending.|
|Chapter 3||Yuko and Seiji are having a hard time working as a team, so Sugimura attempts to find a solution. Meanwhile, General Valo comes into possession of a mysterious rock. In his rush to uncover its secrets, he unleashes the spirit within, a massive, electrical storm creature. Sugimura gets Yuko and Seiji to work together to defeat the storm spirit.|
|Chapter 4||Azula sends a squid-like spirit assassin named Xeexi to find Yuko and kill her and the "other three". Meanwhile, Seiji takes up vigilantism to spice up his boring life. One fight forces Seiji to firebend, which enables Xeexi to capture him. Xeexi then finds Yuko and is about to kill her when Seiji breaks free and saves her. Though Xeexi is defeated, knowledge of the Alien Elemental Thing existence reaches Azula. He shows Aang a hologram of the weapon, insisting that he tell Azula everything he knows about it, much to the Avatar's shock.|
|Chapter 5||Seiji develops a rivalry with a street-racing gang leader named Shady. When Seiji's rivalry gets him arrested, Shizuku forces him to get a driver's license -- legally -- if he wants to race Shady again. During the test, he is harassed first by Shady's gang, then by a long-limbed spirit. Seiji manages to escape the spirit, and his instructor passes him in gratitude. Seiji, Sugimura, and Shizuku defeat the spirit, and Shady is taken into police custody by a detective who was trying to catch him when it's revealed that he is the leader of this dimension's chapter of the Red Lotus.|
|Chapter 6||Yuko and Seiji suffer from nightmares induced by a shaman-like spirit who preys upon their fears. Yuko sees visions of her people dying, while Seiji relives the experiment which claimed his father's life. They face and overcome their fears to beat the shaman and, upon returning home, both Yuko and Seiji begin to have a new outlook on their mission in the non-bending dimension.|
|Chapter 7||The group defeats a blob spirit; however, a small piece survives and follows them to school, where it reassembles itself and attacks while they are vulnerable. The spirit engulfs the school, taking the whole student body prisoner. While Yuko and Seiji fight for their lives and the other students, Sugimura and Shizuku have to devise a means to defeat the spirit.|
|Chapter 8||Seiji has memory flashes to his time at the National Fire Academy for Boys as a child shortly after the disappearance of his father. While at the academy, he is bullied, but he makes a new friend too.|
|Chapter 9||Yuko, Seiji, Sugimura, and Shizuku find a cute dark spirit that they name Marshmallow. Marshmallow becomes their pet, but he is more than he seems.|
|Chapter 10||When Kim the cheerleader comes over to study, she becomes romantically infatuated with Sugimura. Meanwhile, Yuko, Seiji, and Shizuku encounter a manta-like spirit creature that absorbs electrical energy.|
|Epilogue||The epilogue focuses on the romantic relationship between Sugimura and Kim.|
