Air Nomads, Haiqo
Tirriu was born in 217 AG, the eldest child of Vunrok and his wife, an Air Acolyte. He would later become the brother of Onten and Dili. Like his siblings, he was an airbender, and mastered it by the time he was 20 years old.
In 239 AG, he left the Southern Air Temple and founded a town between the Southern Temple and the Southern Water Tribe, and named it Haiqo. Over the next 10 years, he would meet and marry a waterbender named Venna and have two children with her; and , who were both airbenders like him.
In 249 AG, Haiqo was attacked by Braqan and his pirates, and Tirriu was able to able to move the citizens to underground bunkers before the pirates arrived. Tirriu would find himself face to face with the pirate leader. After a long night of fighting, the pirates were driven back to their ships, and Tirriu gained an advantage on Braqan, pushing him out to sea. After the town called a victory, Tirriu created a tornado that completely destroyed Braqan's ships.
It wasn't long before Tirriu's actions were reported to the Air Nomads. Furious over his violence against the pirates, they demanded that Tirriu give his children over to the Southern Air Temple to be raised by the monks there. Agreeing with this at first, he decided to keep them in Hiqao to be raised by an airbender there instead. The Air Nomads sentto train his children airbending and the nomadic ways of airbenders.
Tirriu is creative, innovative and always willing to try something new. He has a competitive streak from time to time. Knowing of the Airbending Genocide by the Fire Nation 200 years before he was born, he decided he would use his airbending to defend his town against threats, to terrible results, this made the other nomads furious. While he and the Air Nomads believed his children would do better being raised in the Air Temples, he decided instead to raise his children in Hiqao. He was glad, however, that his children only used their bending for necessary defense.
By the age of 20, Tirriu was an airbending master, receiving his airbender tattoos. He specialised in the soundbending part of airbending, once using it to cause harm to pirates trying to steal from his town.
