Last time on Survivors
Cong felt that if they were being watched, they shouldn't talk in the open. So they went to Ashley's house were they hid in a secret room to decide what to do next. They decided to look at Cheng's house for any guidance and later went to Ken's village, were they were attacked.
"I wonder what Cheng would say after an easy fight like that?" asked Ashley.
"I swear it gets easier each time," said Ken, imitating Cheng voice.
"Yeah, but we still need to..." stated Ashley.
Then a fire ball went by so close to Ashley that she could still feel the heat on her face when she turned to see what had created it. Then they were all expecting another squadron of benders, but it was only one person. A single women dressed similar to the rest, in a fighting position waiting for them to make the next move.
"One against three? That should be easy," said Cong, also trying to imitate Cheng's voice.
"Cong, get serious. She's different from the rest," said Ken, still staring the woman down.
"You got that right," said the women before attacking.
She fent 3 fire balls, all in Ken's direction, which Ashley stopped with a few fire balls of here own.
"Energy bender! Where are the others!" She said before starting a sprint towards the team.
Ashley made a fire whip towards the woman, which she blocked with her metal armlets. Then Ashley tried sending two fireballs, the woman dodged the first one and stopped the second one with her armlets again, but hidden behind the fire ball, Ashley had trown two shuriken; one cut the woman's face and the other cut her uniform on the chest, since the uniform was made of leather. The woman was surprised, but when she looked back, the team was gone; she was angry with herself for letting them escape, but decided not to follow them.
"Why did you pull me away? We could have taken her!" Said Ashley while still running with the others in the cave.
"No, we couldn't, she's more powerful than you think. It was best to run," answered Ken.
"Why do you think that?" asked Ashley.
"I read her energy like I did with Cong when I first saw him."
"What did you read in her energy?" asked Ashley.
"That she was powerful. Everything else was blurry and weird," answered Ken.
"What do we do now? I mean, if she starts following us?" asked Cong.
"Well, I think we should get Cheng as quick as possible, then run," answered Ken.
"Just run? We can't just run," stated Ashley.
"Well, we're going to have to," answered Ken.
"Well? Where do we go?" asked Ashley.
"North. They were headed north when they left the cave, so their camp must be north," stated Cong.
"Okay, then north it is!" Said Ashley in a more upbeat tone.
"Okay, I left a note for my parents in the kitchen saying I'm going with Cong to some inventing school and staying with some relatives," said Ashley.
"But where's Cong?" He asked Ashley.
"Over here!" Said Cong, carrying a huge bag on his back.
"What's all that for?" She asked her friend.
"Stuff we will need, like four sleeping bags so we don't have to sleep on the floor, two tents, food for a month, money, herbs, and shurikens for Ashley."
"Will we need all that?" Ashley asked Ken.
"No, we won't. Only bring the money, half the food and three sleeping bags," answering Ashley's question and telling Cong what to do.
"And my shurikens! Please!" said Ashley.
"Umm... but won't there be four of us? So why only three sleeping bags? asked Cong.
"Because Cheng is going to want to sleep in a tree, he always loves that kinda stuff." answered Ken.
"Oh, okay. I'll be right back," said Cong.
"I'll help you if you want," offered Ashley.
"Okay, thanks," accepted Cong.
"Well, this is going to be some sort of journey," said Ken with a smile.
"Is that their camp?" Asked Ashley, while looking at the camp through a bush.
"I think so," replied Cong.
"Let's wait till it gets darker to try to get Cheng out," Ken told the others.
"Okay, I can agree to that," said Ashley.
Later that night
"Tamara, your insolence has let a valuable clue escape! A clue to where the village has escaped to. This might cost you dearly."
"Sir, they escaped only because the others were so easily defeated. I had no help in..." She started.
"No excuses, Tamara!" He said in a superior voice.
"Michele, may I remind you that you are not the leader of this organization! You are not my superior, you do not have the authority over me, only of the people in this camp. So I suggest that you get better soldiers, because I am leaving!" countered Tamara.
"You cannot leave!" Stated the man.
"Watch me!" Stated Tamara, exiting the large tent.
"What will the boss think of this, Tamara!" He yelled. "Tamara!" He called with no answer.
"Is he in there?" asked Cong.
"I don't know, I think so? It's the one with the most guards," said Ken.
"No, it's not, it only has three."
"Well, it had five a minute ago."
Then they saw Ashley sneaking in to the tent in one of their uniforms.
"What is she doing!" yelled Cong, but Ken had disappeared.
"Let me guess, does my captor wants to have a word with me?" Cheng asked Ashley, thinking she was another guard.
"Cheng, don't worry, I'm here to bust you out," said Ashley, sticking a key into the cuffs, liberating Cheng.
"I could have escaped whenever I wanted to, I was just... scouting for info," said Cheng.
"Of course, you were," said Ashley, rolling her eyes. Then a guard came in, Ashley ran towards him and kicked his chest. He fell down.
"Why would you do that?" Said Ken in the guard's uniform.
"Sorry! What are you doing here?" She asked.
"I could ask you the same thing," he countered.
"Well, you two were taking too long, so I came alone."
"Well, you two can talk later, but for now, let's just leave," said Cheng.
"Okay, I'm ready, let's go. Where are we going?" Said Cheng.
"Well, umm... let's try to get to the Earth Kingdom first," answered Cong.
"How?" asked Ken.
"Well... first, let's head east, we're in west Fire Nation, so let's just keep heading east, then go island jumping till we find a way to get to the Earth Kingdom."
"And how will we go 'island jumping'? We can't exactly swim from island to island."
"By depending on the kindness of strangers? And when that doesn't work, we'll take a boat," said Cong.
"Well, it is the only plan we got so, let's do it!"
- Urgh, it's been soo long, I'm sooo sorry, but yeah I'm back :)
