General information

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Nearly a decade has passed since the defeat of Firelord Ozai at the hands of the Avatar, yet deep wounds are slow to heal. The Fire Nation is a long way from restoring peaceful relations with the other nations and hostilities and paranoia likewise still run rampant throughout its uncountable victims. Yet all was not tragedy, many legends and tales were made during the war-not the least of which was the tale of the Blue Spirit-specter from beyond and avenger of justice. The tales speak of how the Blue Spirit appeared out of the mists one night and defeated an entire garrison of Fire Nation soldiers to how he supposedly vanished beneath the waters of Lake Laogai-never to be seen again-until now!

  • Kensei

A street thief and member of Boss Ibaru's gang. Though he has no bending powers, he is more than capable with his dual swords and he's not afraid to get his hands dirty if it means taking care of his kid sister.

  • Kageshiko

Ever since the loss of their parents, she has developed a fear of abandonment and worries about her brother constantly, trying to convince him to give up his life of crime. She is also a fairly proficient Earthbender, but often makes mistakes when using her techniques. Works at a sandwich stall as a vegetable slicer.

  • Je

A long-time friend of Kensei and his sister who also lost his parents during the war. However, he was fortunate enough to escape poverty and eventually join the Ba Sing Se city guard. Like Kage, he tries to act as a moral compass to Kensei, although he has been met with far less success.

  • Boss Ibaru

Leader of a gang of street thieves to which Kensei once belong until he and his henchmen left the young thief for dead during a heist-gone-bad. Tends to be very pompous and overbearing towards others in spite of his own incompetence and lack of ability as a thief.

Iroh's Upper Ring teashop becomes the target of a heist by Ibaru's gang when Kensei steals a strange metal box from his quarters. However, the retired general's involvement in the current events of Ba Sing Se may go deeper than appearances suggest.
