History
Edit
When Nero was given the mission of killing Team Avatar along with everyone else who influenced the war, his first target was the former Fire Lord (Phoenix King), Ozai. Nero didn't plan his assault of the prison past getting through the front door. All he knew was that he preferred to go alone and not kill anyone but Ozai.

Getting Through the Front Door
Edit
The only part of the attack that Nero had planned was getting into the prison, which went perfectly. Nero waited patiently for the day shift to leave the prison before slipping through unnoticed. Once inside Nero searched the prison for Ozai's cell, but to no avail. When he finally about to call it quits and just burn the place to the ground, he over heard a patrol complaining about guarding Ozai. Nero's window of opportunity had opened.
Getting to Ozai
Edit

Added by RuenNero quietly followed the patrol to Ozai's cell. Once they stopped outside his cell door Nero made his move. Calmly walking up, Nero asked if the room behind him was Ozai's. The guard told Nero that he couldn't Ozai. Having already lost his patience Nero attacked. Nero fought the guards with brutal efficiency, quickly overpowering them and kicking one so hard he caused the door he crashed into to almost cave in. Ozai never saw his assailant, as he blasted the door open with a jet of black flame consuming him.
On to the Next Target: Azula
Edit
Once Ozai was dead, Nero left for his next target. But not before giving one of the guards he'd defeated a message to Zuko. Warning him to get his sister out of the asylum before Nero destroyed it and killed her.
