History

Quidel was born in 1950 to two Firebender parents in Central Chile. His family belonged to a small tribe of the Mapuche, a Native American tribe that had resisted the Spanish Conquest in the 1800s. Although the group lived isolated from the conflict against the BDA, traveling benders passing through would often stop to tell stories of the BDA's atrocities.

When Quidel was 27, Avatar Joel came through the region for new recruits. After being told of the upcoming assault on Uluru, Quidel readily joined the army. With his prowess over firebending and his natural leadership abilities, he was soon promoted to Commander of Firebenders.

When the army arrived at the prison, Quidel was told to attack after the earthbenderes. When the signal came, he charged into the battle with confidence. After the first wave of Enforcers were defeated, he helped rally the army for the final charge. However, when the Leader arrived on the battlefield, Quidel was trapped in his earthen box and was crushed when the Leader brought it down.

Personality

When Leah saw him in her vision, she described him as a lively man who was full of spirit.
