Qizi is the widow that Rong Yan, Unaraq, Aloi and Tanaraq help out when the tax collector had threatened her. Qizi is also a secondary character in the fanon Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan.

When the gang were exploring the forest, they had hear a scream coming from the east. Running as quickly as possible towards it. They had seen men leaving a house, where a woman fell to her knees crying like they had done something to her.

Indeed, they did, she was being threatened that if she did not have any money to pay her taxes that they were going to destroy her home, and leave her in the forests to die. She pleaded the aid of the Avatar, after being hospitable and made the gang dinner. The next day came, and two soldiers had arrived to pick up the tax money.

She could not make any money up as of now, since the death of her husband has left her poor, and with some of the savings she had paid for his burial. Her husband was soldier as well, and she said that those men were disgracing the code of honor that represents the Earth Kingdom army. Most of her savings were taken away by the soldiers and she only had a little left.

When Rong Yan, had told them to leave they refused to do so, and attacked the Avatar and his friends. After defeating both of them and injuring one of them. They had run off and told Rong Yan he had made a big mistake. Qizi had thanked Rong Yan for what he had done.

When they return to the town they had met a man named Beiyin. He made a deal with Rong Yan, that if he helped him rescue his father, that he would rescue the girl as well, and help them by writing out a letter to his friend who happens to be the Captain of the Royal Guard. After accomplishing their goal, Beiyin had rescued his father, and the girl.

When they made it back to town, is when Chouqi and her daughter Huanle had reunited, their tax money was given back, and the two were happy. Beiyin, did as he promised and had written a letter to his friend in Ba Sing Se. It soon turns out that Huanle, was to be an example if the town did not pay their dues.

Towards the end, the guards had returned Qizi her husband's life savings so that she may live off the rest of her life spending little by little.

Qizi, was born a non-bender and there is no known history of her knowing how to defend herself. A reference to this, was when she was left crying for her money, she only screamed as loud as she could in hopes of someone fighting off the soldiers.

Her husband was a soldier of the Earth Kingdom army, although he did not teach her self-defense.

Other than her unnamed deceased husband who was a soldier it is not known if Qizi and her husband ever had children.

  • Unnamed Soldier Husband (Husband; Deceased)

  • Qizi means "wife" in Chinese.
  • This episode that involves all these characters was written out the same way that the plot of Zuko Alone, and mixed with one of the subplot from a quest from the first Avatar video game on PS2. The quests that were mentioned, was the one where you had to help the widow out, and defeat the tax collectors within their hideout.
