|Ponytar: The Last Marebender|
The story takes place during the Hundred Year War and much of the story has remained the same, except the characters are ponies rather than humans. As you would expect, each different type pony represents a different bending style and a different nation. For instance, earth ponies are from the Earth Kingdom and obviously practice earthbending. Unicorns are members of the Northern and Southern Water Tribes and practice waterbending. Alicorns represent or at least represented the Air Nomads and unlike the other nations, all their citizens were airbenders due to their high level of spirituality among those ponies.
Avatar Aang: Avatar Aang is the current airbending Avatar who was frozen in an iceberg for hundred years and has returned as the last Alicorn and last airbender after being released from the iceberg by Twilight Sparkle. He must face his destiny as the Avatar to save the world and defeat the Fire Nation in the brutal Hundred Year War that could destroy the world.
Twilight Sparkle: is a waterbender from the Southern Water Tribe and serves the role of Katara. Twilight tends to be a bit too motherly toward her friends and her brother Shining Armor. Despite being motherly, she is not weak; she is a powerful waterbender who will do anything she can to help Aang to defeat the Fire Nation.
Shining Armor: is a non-bender from the Southern Water Tribe and serves the role of Sokka. Shining Armor is a trained warrior who will do whatever he needs to defeat the Fire Nation and help Aang.
Toph Beifong: is a blind earth pony as well as an earthbender.
