Before You Read[]
Before you begin to read Inheritance, there are a few key concepts to keep in mind:
- Tenzin lives on the recently founded Air Temple Island, along with his parents, Katara and Aang, as well as his siblings, Bumi and Kya.
- Outside of Republic City, the world remains further behind than that of its urban counterpart.
- Aang is 44, and Tenzin recently turned 14.
- Some of the personalities of the characters are varying from the the Legend of Korra, but these variances will link together in a multitude of ways later in the series.
- This will be the first time Aang has left Republic City for a substantial amount of time, since its founding nearly 30 years ago.
