Myths of the Empire is an upcoming set of one-shot stories that bridges the large gap of time between The Rise of Lirin and The Reclamation of Arein.

Plot

In the wake of the Great Fall, Avatar Lirin guides a new world, one in which his greatest concerns are entirely different from past Avatars. Over the great span of time, we see how things changed so drastically between Rise of Lirin and Reclamation of Arein.

Characters

Lirin: Lirin is the only character to appear in all the stories, as they center around him and his decisions.

Kita: The powerful captain of the Red Sun, she answers only to the Emperor.

Kitsune Shirayuki: A beautiful pale woman whose origins are as mysterious as her abilities.

Chapters

The stories of Myths are One-Shots with little to no connection beyond a linear timeline.

Pacification: A rebellion in the Northern Temple. (Complete but unposted)

Assassins: Even Avatars have enemies.

Empire: Lirin oversees a dangerous system.

Red Sun Under The Empire: A powerful organization in a veil of shadow.

White Snow: Entranced with something not of this world, two lovers cross forbidden lines. (In progress)

Heirs: Two men bound by fate and blood.

Notes

  • Lirin progressively changes in the chapters, showing that time does affect character.
  • This is not a happy series of stories.
  • The author first wrote Pacification before even finishing Rise of Lirin, to explain an event between the 500 year gap of RoL and RoA, and felt it was necessary to have more stories explaining such a long time.
