|Chronological and political information|
Momo is a young, smart winged lemur that was once's pet before it wanted to travel with Team Avatar soon after meeting them.
Momo is a rather smart animal, able to figure out what to do in different situations. Momo is also naturally curious, which is normal for a winged lemur.
Momo has a rather confusing, yet short story behind him. Momo was once a wild animal until a merchant from Ba Sing Se captured him and brought him back to a pet store, wherehad found him. Momo escaped and traveled with his group of nomads from there on.
Book 1: Water
Momo first appeared with Chong and the other nomads as they were travelling through the Earth Kingdom. Momo didn't really do much, but got to know the others pretty well. When they were split up, Momo panicked and jumped over to Aang and he, Aang, and Katara were stuck on one side, the rest on the other. Momo didn't bother to go off Aang's head, worried sick and scared. When they finally did get out, Momo didn't want to go back to Chong, wanting to go with Appa and the others instead. Chong understood this and allowed Momo to go with them without having to say a word.
Throughout most of the trip, Momo was mainly with Aang as a close pet, such as through Omashu and to the North Pole. Before they'd found the North Pole, Momo saw it first, and directed their attention to it, making it known that they'd arrived.
Book 2: Earth
As before, Momo didn't have much time for him to be known. When Ty Lee and Haru found the team again, Momo noticed first and got everyone's attention directed at their arrival.
Like most of his kind, Momo is easily capable of flying around at high speed without colliding into anything.
