Meelo is an escaped Air Nomad and father of Haneul in Emblem of the Outlaw. A few years ago, Meelo was captured by the police and arrested. It is unknown how he escaped, but he later comes to the aid of Frost and Ai Shi as they are pursued by Anying Jiaoben. At this point, it is revealed that he raised August to some extent before leaving to raise his son. He is also a member of The Order of the White Lotus.
Personality
Even as a mature adult, Meelo is somewhat mischievous. Described by August as a "crazy old man" (a statement which he humorously agreed with). Though he is generally very happy and carefree almost like a child, he grows extremely serious about matters of importance and shows his age and wisdom. Even with his childlike attitude, he carries himself with an air of mystery befitting one in his position.
Abilities
Master Airbender
As a trained Monk, Meelo is a master Airbender. Though his combat prowess is not revealed, it is referenced by Haneul, who was taught Airbending by his father despite being bedridden for most of his childhood.
Trivia
- It was with the reveal of Meelo that the timeline of "Emblem of the Outlaw" was revealed.
- Meelo's character art is one of the original sketches of Tenzin.
