Jia Mei is the daughter of Muqin. She is a minor character in the fanon Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan. Jia Mei is disguised as the Kira-Bi an urban legend of her village. She is defeated by Avatar Rong Yan, and Monk Yong Ten outside of the town she lives in called Liaoning Village, in a nearby cave she currently resided in at the time.

History

A disrespectful, mean girl that had supposedly disappeared when her mother told her that the urban legend spirit called the Kira-Bi would kidnap her. Scaring her mother she decides to run away, to a nearby uninhabitable cave just outside of Liaoning Village.
Becoming the Kira-Bi spirit, she was known as a supernatural thief, who would break into local homes, and steal their valuables.
Fire Nation visitors

Two or three days before Rong Yan and Yong Ten had arrived at Liaoning Village, there was two Fire Nation visitors who visited the port town. They were there to buy rare herbs from a herbalist in Liaoning. Receiving their shipment they decided to stay for another day. When the Kira-Bi, decided to scare them she decided it was best to imprison them until someone came to look for them.
Encounter with the Avatar

Rong Yan and Yong Ten, were tasked by Jia Mei's mother Muqin, to search for her missing daughter. On the day of the first sighting, she was seen running out of a house, and she backflipped up onto a roof. Running away from Yong Ten.
The second night, Rong Yan and Yong Ten were shooting air and fire at her, but she again got away. On the third day of their stay in Liaoning Village, they decided to look in the nearby cave.

Added by King Bumis HeirFinding the Kira-Bi, she approaches them, she asks Rong Yan if she's beautiful, he replies about average. She became confused, and Yong Ten attacked. They fought her for a while, she was fending them off with her sword. Eventually, they began defeating her, she began using her earthbending abilities. Beating her, Rong Yan gave the final blow by shooting fire at her face, which burned and knocked the mask off to reveal her real face.
Reuniting with her Mother

When Rong Yan and Yong Ten, defeat the Kira-Bi, they soon discover that the Kira-Bi was just Jia Mei in a costume. Instead of sending her to the guards they return her to her mother.
She vowed to never do anything bad ever again, and that she will be more kind, and respectful to her mother. Muqin apologizes to Jia Mei, and they happily reunite with each other.
Abilities

Jia Mei was born an earthbender, but to show that she truly is a spirit she used a large sword in combat. Only when she was in real danger, she used her earthbending to greatly increase her defenses.
Jia Mei also used her earthbending to steal from the visiting Fire Nation men. She kidnapped them and held them prisoners in her cave home.
