"Enough just standing around!" Hwasan yelled impatiently. "Let's go!"
"Whoa, where's the fire?" Sigan grabbed him by his collar and pulled him back.
"You know, Hwasan's right." Geolda muttered to Haewa. "If we're going to fight the Knight, we'll need allies."
Haewa sighed. "Fine. Where do you guys suggest we go first?"
"The north." Noeseong pointed. "The realm of the Avatar. We should start there."
Noeseong turned around and walked down the stone steps.
"Might as well follow him." Sigan said, following him. Hwasan gave Geolda a quick glance and walked down the stairs. Geolda followed him.
"Who died and made him leader?" Haewa muttered as he walked after his group.
In the Water Tribe
A week had passed since the group set out from their headquarters. Now they were walking the streets of the Northern Water Tribe. The five may have drawn some strange looks but no one seemed to pay them much attention.
"Guys, I think we'll have a better chance of finding someone if we split up." Haewa whispered to the group.
"Good idea." Geolda replied.
"Hwasan, you take the southern edge. Sigan the north, Geolda the east and Noeseong the west."
Sigan whispered back. "Where are you going?"
"Good luck." Hwasan said as he sped up.
Haewa shook his head as he and Sigan turned around.
"Are you sure about this?" Sigan asked him.
"Yes." Haewa answered. "If anyone's going to talk to the Water Tribe's leader, it should be me."
"I just hope you don't offend them." Sigan said as he walked off to the right.
Haewa grabbed Sigan's jacket and pulled him back a step.
"Why do you think I assigned you to the north part of the city?"
Sigan cracked a smile. Haewa let go of his jacket and Sigan walked off into the side street.
At the Palace
Haewa kneeled before the grand dais in the Water Tribe palace. Two men sat on the dais, side by side. One had black hair and sad blue eyes. The other had gray hair and wise blue eyes.
"What is your business here, outsider?" The black-haired man asked.
"I come bearing bad news." Haewa announced. "The earthquake that ripped through your world has even more dire consequences than you can ever imagine."
"Do not believe him, Arnook." the white-haired man interrupted. "He knows not of these events that have transpired."
"Hold your tongue, Pakku." Arnook snapped back. Pakku sat back with an annoyed expression on his face.
Haewa sighed. "There is a great threat coming. 7 worlds have come together to form one."
"Oh?" Arnook leaned in closer.
"There is a figure who seeks to bring darkness across the worlds. He is called the Darksome Knight. The convergence of the worlds is a harbinger of his coming."
Pakku finally broke his silence. "What do you suggest we do?"
"Me and my warriors are in desperate need of allies against the Knight. If you have any commanders you could loan us, we would be most grateful."
"Arnook, you can't possibly believe this-"
"Quiet, Pakku!" Arnook bellowed. He stood up, walked off to the right of the dais and whispered something in a guard's ear. The guard turned and ran off into the palace.
"He is bringing are most skilled strategist." Arnook returned to his spot. "Perhaps he will join you."
Soon the soldier returned, this time bringing a young man in blue armor. He looked about 19, with dark brown hair and deep blue eyes. A wolf's head helmet was tucked between his right arm and his body and a black sword hung over his back.
"Haewa, this is my general, Sokka. He will assist you in finding friends in these lands. You have an ally in the Northern Water Tribe."
Haewa stood and bowed to them. "Thank you, Great Chief."
Sokka walked down the steps and followed Haewa out of the palace. When they were at the gate, they were joined by Sigan. The other members joined them as they walked towards the gate.
"What should we do now?" Noeseong asked.
"Hwasan, call your dragon. Sokka, you must have some friends outside of these parts. Where would they be?" Haewa asked.
"The Fire Nation." he replied. "Head southwest until you see a huge island covered in volcanoes."
"Great." Geolda said. "Because you'll be showing us the way."
