Hakoda as he appears in Dennis Fielder's fanon.
Hakoda's appearance is the same as in the series.
Hakoda has stretched his friendly nature to Zuko as he's part of the team, and he still maintains that more mature version of Sokka's personality.
Hakoda meets up with his children when they arrive in the South Pole to begin the search for Ursa. Just before they leave, Zuko asks Hakoda for advice in searching for his mother, and Hakoda simply says to never give up hope that he'll find her.
Hakoda is often portrayed as the Arthur Weasley of the Avatar World, being one of the few examples of a good father. This is shown in the stories when Hakoda smirks at being unable to tell where the kids went after the invasion of Black Sun. He also gives fatherly advice to Zuko about never giving up hope that he'll find his mother, again supporting his fatherly nature.
