This fanon will tell the story of Kulon, who is on a path to be one of the greatest firebenders of all time.
Previously on "Greatest Firebender Ever"
Kulon was taught that he is Fire Lord Izumi's grandson and the heir to the Fire Nation. After meeting the Fire Lord in her palace, Kulon and Korra are to resume her training.
Chapter 9: Spirit Terminus
Kulon and Korra are back at Air Temple Island after meeting the most esteemed Fire Lord. Korra's ecstatic to keep training with Kulon, so as soon as they arrive, she swarms him to train her that instant. Kulon accepts and tells her to contact Katara to enter the Spirit World right now. Korra's shocked - both terrified and exhilarated at the same time. Korra contacts Katara and Katara makes her way to the spirit portal.
Kulon and Korra begin meditating into the Spirit World and await Katara at the entrance. Katara arrives and the all awaited session begins. First, Katara brought a special pouch that contains special water from the Spirit Oasis in the North Pole she had saved for a special occasion - helping the Avatar once again is pretty sufficient. Kulon informs Katara that where he had sensed and Raava had also signalled him that the main area of focus should be Korra's "Spirit Lower Back" and adds that since she's a healer, and the best one in the world in fact, she is also able to sense the amount of energy and blocked chi that'll be projected by Korra's back, so it's extremely important for her to inform him about ANYTHING she might sense. Kulon approaches Korra, holds her hand, and gently sings a lullaby in order for her to calm down and prepare for the worst. Korra trusts Kulon and has confidence in both him and Katara which she had known since she was a little girl.
The session begins. Katara begins gently by flowing water around Korra's lower back in a slow pace and she'll progress by Korra's gut. Korra already feels some unpleasantness but endures it like a rock solid earthbender (Toph would be proud). Katara raises the pace and Korra's beginning to lose it. Kulon is worried but knows what must be done and tells Katara to keep going. Suddenly, Raava once again appears but seems to be crazed by they session and she rapidly moves from side to side. Then, the image of Raava is replaced with Avatar Wan and rapidly begins to project every single Avatar in the last 10,000 years. At this point, Kulon instructs Katara to keep a controlled rhythm and implement some circular motion. Kulon's guidance proves to be efficient because now the projected Avatars switch in a constant pace from one to another - predecessor to successor. Kulon realizes that in this stage, Katara alone can't affect it as well as before by herself, so Kulon approaches Korra body and tries to tap into her spirit, but as soon as he touches her lower back, she blasts (not lethally) Katara and Kulon. It appears that Korra had entered the Avatar State - Kulon deduces that what they were doing was comprehended as life-threatening to Korra, but they must continue. Kulon urges Katara to hold down Korra with water and he'll finish the job. Katara doesn't disappoint and firmly holds down Korra despite her entering the Avatar State. Kulon runs towards Korra to deliver the final touch that hopefully will restore the past Avatars. Kulon reaches Korra and does it. Due to Kulon, An enormous blast of light came out and they were sightless for a minute or so. Korra returns to consciousness and apparently she is extremely fatigued. So she falls asleep. Kulon understands the delicacy and decides to take her back home and they will talk over it the next day. Kulon expresses unbelievable gratitude to Katara and she heads back home. Kulon and Korra return as well.
