The Duel of the Jasmine Dragon was the third battle in the War of the Lotuses.

History[]

After Nero's defeat at the hands of Zuko and Aang, the assassin set his sights for Iroh, The Dragon of the West. Nero wanted an honorable duel, which turned into an all out brawl.

The Agni Kai[]

Ordering Tea[]

When Nero arrived in Ba Sing Se he headed immediately for Iroh's tea shop, The Jasmine Dragon. When he arrived Nero decided to wait for the shop to empty. While he waited Nero kept ordering tea from Iroh. He was really impressed with the quality of the tea. When all the customers had finally left Nero approached Iroh and apologized before attacking.

The Brawl[]

The resulting duel completely destroyed the Jasmine Dragon. Nero and Iroh slammed each other into almost every piece of furniture in the building. Iroh had the advantage at one point, pinning Nero to the ground. Nero freed himself and blasted Iroh through the roof of the building. While Iroh was in the air he launched a giant wave of fire that set his beloved tea house a blaze. Nero emerged from the burning building holding Iroh's picture of his son. The battle continued until it was interrupted by Nero's old master, Riku. Nero quickly incapacitated Riku and tossed Iroh back into the burning tea house. After causing the tea house to collapse Nero left.

Aftermath[]

However before the Dai Li showed Nero dug Iroh out of the ashes of the building and carried both him and Riku to one of Nero's many safe houses. When the two recovered Nero told them both his plan. Once they knew everything and agreed to it Nero left for Omashu to find Toph.
