SSJ-Trunks decided to create a new fanon as a break from his other fanon The Black Shadow he thought of creating a fanon set in the mind of an average soldier. As most other fanon focused on the main character and/or new Avatars. He thought of an average soldier's mind and how it changed during the war.
Plot Edit
This story surround a man named Fu Yong a new Fire Nation recruit. It is written as diary entries as Fu records his experiences. He takes part in the main battles toward the end of the War writing about what happened and his feelings towards his enemies. He journeys across the globe as he turns from a promising young man to a man who lives off war.

Day 1, 99ASC
Well here I am, After a six hour boat trip I've finally reached the port. I'll be heading out of my first assignment tomorrow! It's great I'm finally living the dream, carrying on my family's glory! Dad was a soldier so was his dad and his dad and well you get the picture. They all recorded their thoughts in these books called War Diaries so I thought I'd try it. I've already seen my first glimpse of war, on the way here we intercepted some Water Tribe ships. They hardly put up a fight. However it felt 'wrong' somehow, as if I shouldn't be doing this...Aww Well I'd better get going can't wait to fight for Fire Lord and Nation!

So far the series has gotten mostly good reviews. With the release of the first chapter the reviews came in and it looks like the series has potential. Reviewers inclueded The avatar, MightyBrit and Heroic Firebender. Who all gave their support.
