Cuzhang is a minor character in the fanon, Avatar: The Legacy of Rong Yan. He is also a supporting character in the fanon, Avatar: The Legend of Anana.
History
Only known history of Cuzhang, so far is that he was Avatar Anana's earthbending master. Under his tutelage she mastered earthbending in two years. Cuzhang first appeared in Chapter 10: The Forbidden Art, when Avatar Anana had taken along Avatar Rong Yan with her to tour her life with the young Avatar.
Not much was shown of Cuzhang, but Anana and many of his peers could say he had a sturdy personality. He was strict since that was one of his teaching tools for his students, and he also had taught Anana some maturity.
Not only did she grow better in her skills in earthbending but she did transition from a girl into a young woman. She adopted the strict discipline, and wise to make great decisions from her earthbending master.
Those tools had aided her and Rari with the protest against the Earth King, and had also helped her with coordinating the war with the bloodbenders.
Blood War
Being the Avatar didn't always ensure that she would be safe, she had requested the aid from her masters to help her take down her husband and his forces. Though not mentioned, Cuzhang, Huan Zhu, and Hwa were amongst the small group with Anana to stop Tuuluuwaq and his bloodbenders once and for all.
Later Life
Although it is known, that Cuzhang did die of old age, when news gets to the Avatar she was devastated. From time to time she would visit his grave site.
Abilites
It was known that Cuzhang was an earthbender since he had mentored Avatar Anana in the bending style. Cuzhang was also a teach and master earthbender.
