|Chronicles of the Red Lotus: Ghazan|
Not long after the conclusion of the Hundred Year War, Earth King Kuei and his wife gave birth to their child, Hou-Ting, and her want for power grew evident throughout the nation. When her father passed away, Hou-Ting inherited the throne, and made the executive decision to expand her armies over the entirety of the Earth Kingdom in hopes of seizing more power. In order to do this, she administered an act that would draft her citizens and break the nation into sections that would each contain a subsection of the army. However, the other three nations advised against the expansion of her armies, which might create problems.
The story takes place 46 years after the Hundred Year War, with 22-year-old Ghazan, who has been already been in the army for two years. Although he is a great fighter, he never had the chance to master his earthbending. He had a humble upbringing and spent his entire life in the middle of the three rings in the Earth Kingdom. However, he never explored the other areas of the Earth Kingdom, only until he was reassigned. Unlike life in the Middle Ring, the Lower Ring is filled with sadness and destitution, and like the Dai Li, who the Earth Queen has brought out of banishment, Ghazan is meant to enforce the will of the Earth Queen over the citizens of this land. Ghazan, while forced to do his duty to his nation, also has an obligation to the people whom he cares about.
- Ghazan is an powerful earthbender, regardless that he doesn't hold the title of "master". He is optimistic, and finds things humorous when things sometimes aren't. However, when it all comes down to it, he's your man.
There are currently no chapters available and I wouldn't hold out on that. It will be a while before I actually post chapters for this fanon, but I still wanted to get the main page up already. Still, I'd love for you to check out the fanon I'm currently working on:.
- The succeeding fanon will be based on Ming-Hua.
