~What Happened Last Time~
Last time on Adventures of Li Hua: Li Hua and Jiro had a talk and cleared everything up. They are dating.
~Cloud Nine (Me + You)~
"Li Li. It's morning. Time to get up. Today's our leaving day. Remember? You haven't even started packing."
"Well a good morning to you too. It's to early to nag. Go back to sleep. That's what imma do," I pulled the cover over my head and turned onto my stomach.
I felt a sudden bounce on my bed.
"Come on Li Li," I gave her an evil look and rolled my red eyes. She simply sharpened her eyes and grabbed the covers and threw them off of me.
"Nobody ever just lets me sleep. A girl gotta sleep you know? I had a busy night okay. Just pack my bags for me or something. Just leave me alone. I want to embrace this moment. This moment of peace. Can I least have that?" I ran my hands over the bed with my eyes closed but of course I didn't feel any covers. I let out a long sigh and groggily got up.
No sleep ever. No matter if I'm not at home, I still got a mom to wake me up unnecessarily.
"Okay, okay. I'm up. Ready to take on the day." I stretched my arms and let out a big yawn.
I saw Jiha walk toward the window with her bare polished feet. She gracefully placed her hand on the window pane and started to hum. The sunlight became even brighter and beamed on her face.
She took a deep breath, breathing in the outside air, "So, you said you had a busy night. Why is that? I thought we both went to sleep at the same time. Did you sleep walk or something."
I began to look at my feet and twirled my hair around my finger, "I was with Jiro. That guy that escorted me? It was awesome. We talked it out. We allowed our inner thoughts to be put into the open. We're... I guess it can be considered dating."
I saw Jiha eyes get huge as her mouth dropped open. A strange squeal came out of her mouth as she ran over to me and tackled me to the ground. She had a huge smile on her face as she said, "Oh my gosh, Li Li! This is awesome. This is great news! You and Jiro, which is a perfect name for him, are together? Om my gosh. Why didn't you wake me up! Why! You would have made my night! Aren't you excited? This is great! Oh man! We can't leave now though." I stared, "Oh my goodness, when's your next date? Never mind that, how bout we just go over there now. Hurry get dressed, I'll go get us some makeup to put on." She dashed out the door with a little skip.
Wow, even I wasn't that excited. She is one crazy friend. Maybe I shouldn't have told her. But then again, I'm sure she would have found out anyway. But then... Before I could even get the words out next, she walked into the room with an arm full of makeup of all kinds.
Once we were all made up, of course keeping the makeup to a minimum so I don't look like I spent years to put it on, we walked towards the boy's hut.
We knocked on the door but no answer.
"Where are they? I know they have to be here." She began to go around the back until a voice came echoing towards us, "Hey. What's up? What are you doing here for?"
Jiha and I turned around to see the boys walking towards us.
"We were here to get y'all. We thought we all could just hang out."
"Oh yea. Sure. There's a market over at the Equal City. We can meet other benders and such. It'll be great. We were just out buying things to prepare for the day."
"Well... when is it?"
"You weren't going to tell me bye? You were just going to pick up in leave? No goodbye, no nothing?
"I mean, I didn't feel like I had too. You was going to leave also. So I thought,..."
"I don't care what you thought really. We said we would be honest and I am. I don't care."
"Li Li! What's your problem? You need to stop and chill."
"I am chill. I just don't like how he was..."
"Just drop it."
"No, I will not drop it okay? I'm going to tell..."
We all stood there in silence. Looking at each other. I stared Jiha down and then I stared at Jiro.
"Okay... I apologize. Maybe I was out of line here."
"Yea," Jiro said under his breath.
"Let's go to the market," I began to walk on but then I realize I didn't know where I was going. I turned around quickly on my heels and said, "Lead the way."
We walked, ran, and jogged through the woods playing games as we go. We made our way up a zig zag trail till we finally got to the Equal city after about an hour.
I wonder how this is going to go. With me and Jiro arguing and then me and Jiha on opposites. This should get interesting.
