Everything started one fateful day. Avatar Kanna fought against the forces of evil but on the battlefield something happened and Avatar Kanna died. The world was devastated and waited for the time when the next hero will rise and finally save them. This is the Legend of Kano.

We heard loud marching and I knew that its them.

"What is it Kano?" Han asked.

"It's the Un-Che; they are close," I answered.

"We need to go," Mira said.

"Guys, wait for me," Han said.

"C'mon hurry up, Han, we need to warn the town!!" I said.

"Let's go," he answered.

We ran down stairs and Han's dad stopped us.

"Listen, I know you three are good friends, but it's 8 am. You can't just march in and talk whenever you want to talk," he said.

"Sir, you don't understand us. There is no reason for this," I said to him.

I rolled my eyes in frustration.

"And Kano, I will tell this to your parents," he said to me.

"You can't just behave like that in someone's house."

"Just because you are the Avatar now doesn't mean that you can just march around like you own the place."

"Dad, listen to me: you and Mom need to leave town; something is going to happen," Han said to his father.

"Do you expect me to believe you just because your friend is the Avatar!?" he asked.

A large explosion shook the ground and we knew.

"They are here, we need to hurry up, Han," I said.

"Dad, do what I said and leave," Han said to his Dad.

We left the house and saw a black smoke rising from the town entrance. We didn't even make it a few meters before an fireball hit the building next to us.

"Guys, I think we should be faster," Mira said.

"Follow me," I said.

We saw the school on fire from the hit of an fireball.

"Guys, there are kids trapped inside," I said.

We entered in the school building and Mira barely stopped the fire from burning everything and me and Han saved the little kids inside.

We managed to get to the city hall. People were already running away. The mayor was running away too and we knew there was no hope to save everyone. So we went to Mira's house and warned her family then.

"Guys, they are here," Han said.

We went outside and saw the warriors in black suits that were destroying everything on their path. One earthbended a huge rock at us.

I managed to block it with an earth shelter.

"The Un-Che warriors of the Northern Kingdom claim this city in the name of King Alla," one soldier said.

"We will never surrender to you," one villager said.

A warrior knocked the villager off and crushed his legs. It was the most horrific thing I have ever seen.

"People!!" the warrior shouted.

"Surrender immediately or you will be destroyed."

"Guys, you know what to do. Like in school," I said to Mira and Han.

Mira and Han knew what to do.

"No!!" I said to the warrior.

"What did you say boy?" he asked.

"I said that we will never surrender to people like you."

"How do you dare say that to me, General Qou. Who do you think you are?" he said.

"Because I am the Avatar!!" I said.

He launched a huge avalanche of rocks at me. Mira and Han went to my aid. We blocked the avalanche with a huge earth and fire mix.

"Warriors, attack those three!!"

We managed to hold them off for a little time. Then our school teacher hopped in.

"Run, you fools. I can handle this."

I knew he couldn't take them all. We finally got to my house, but when we got inside, there was only a note on the table.

"Kano, we had to leave. We are so sorry for this. You can handle this alone. This is your destiny. We went by boat to Ba Sing Se. Love, your parents."

I was devastated.

"Guys, we need go; they are coming this way," Han said.

We closed the door and hid in the cellar hoping they won't find us.

"Guys, shut your ears," I said.

I bended a tunnel beneath the house.

"Mira, give us some light?" I asked.

Mira bend a small flame so we could see what's in front of us.

We walked into the tunnel and heard the door of my house slamming on the floor.

"Kano, what's happening?" Mira asked.

"They are inside," I answered.

To stop them from finding us I destroyed the entrance to the tunnel.

"Guys, run!" I said.

We ran as fast as we could. They opened the entrance and started to follow us. When we finally came to the exit they were just a few meters behind us. I destroyed the entire tunnel along with them.

We were on a hill where the exit was and we saw the flame of our town. People screaming of fear and dying.

"Kano, what are we going to do now?" Han asked.

"I don't know. We are homeless, alone and sad. This is the start of a war and we should just hide and hope for the best," I said.

"It's not like that, Kano," Mira said to comfort me.

"Well, it is and you should face it!!" I screamed.

"Kano, don't yell at her," Han said.

"Mira, I am sorry, this is just too stressful for me," I said.

"I know, Kano."

There was a forest behind us.

"Let's hide in the forest," Han said.

We entered looking back at our town and it was still burning. We turned our back and said our goodbyes.
