~What Happened Last Time~
Last time on Adventures of Li Hua: Li Hua and Jiha begin school.
~First Day of School cont.~
Ugh... when will she stop teaching. My whole day is now ruined thanks to Mrs. Lee. Ugh! Why did she have to get the bright idea that we needed to spend our days in here?
I let out a small sigh and placed my hand under my chin, resting my head.
This is so... boring. I can't believe I let Jiha drag me into this. Never again, will I be forced into something like this.
I glanced over to Jiha and rolled my eyes.
She looks so into this. I always knew she liked school by the way she smiled every school morning.
I began to wonder off into lala land out of sheer boredom. But that was abruptly interrupted when my teacher began yelling at me to pay attention.
I stared blankly at her for a moment before I completely came out of lala land. "Yes, Miss Lee?"
"Pay attention! Your going to need this information for your next test. You do want to pass it, don't you?"
"I know Miss Lee. It was simply a mistake."
She started to smile in an evil way at me. "I don't think it was. I think some time with me after school could do you some good."
I jumped up in shock, "But Mrs. Lee!"
"No 'buts', Li Hua. You are new here and I understand that, but you need to learn the rules. This can be a helpful experience. You seem not to behave in a fashion that is unacceptable for this school, more importantly, for this classroom. Though I must give recognition to your friend Jiha, for doing a fine job at paying attention." She smirked and clapped her hands giving a standing ovation to Jiha.
I snapped my head around and glared at Jiha.
Ugh! Not only do I have to be out shown by my best friend, but I'm already in trouble and I haven't even been at this school for a day. You got to be kidding me.
She set her notes on her desk in a neat pile before writing the assignment on the board. As soon as she was finished she turned towards the class, saying, "Step outside Li Hua. I want to talk to you some more."
"Whatever," I said under my breathe, hoping she couldn't hear me.
"What did you say?"
"Mhms, I don't like those little smart comments, Li Hua."
Oh my gosh. She's going to kill my name. Li Hua this, Li Hua that. Just shut up for crying out loud! She's already my least favorite teacher and I just met her.
I was soon followed by Miss Lee after I stepped out side.
"Li Hua, I think you should go to the principals office while everyone is outside."
"Yes, this class does have break time. It's summer and I can understand how tired they may be. Though, I don't believe you deserve a break time."
"Ugh. Okay. I'll go right now." I rolled my eyes and headed down the hall. Each step seemed heavier and heavier. I knew I was in trouble and I knew the principal wouldn't be happy to see me.
In the office, Mrs. Mao looked up from her computer shocked, "Li Hua?"
Oh my gosh! I must, and I mean MUST, change my name.
"Well... what are you doing here?"
"Miss Lee thinks that I should sit in here while the class is outside. Apparently, I don't deserve a break time."
"Oh... well take a seat over there."
I slumped in my seat and sighed. This day is not going how I planned.
~Break Time (Jiha's POV)~
Great, why Li Hua have to get in trouble and leave me to fend for myself outside. I scanned the room looking for someone I could hang with. Nobody caught my eye. Great, looks like I really am all alone.
I found a bench to sit on and I watched my classmates talk and laugh within their groups.
All was well, till three girls walked up to me. All of them had red hair but one had pink and purple strands in hers.
"Uh... you're in our spot new girl."
"Uh... I got a name." I rolled my eyes ignoring them.
"Did I ask for your name? Didn't think so. So move!" The girls got closer looking as if they wanted to start a fight over this stupid bench. How childish.
"Are you serious? It's a bench. There's plenty more from where this came from, sweetheart."
"Sweetheart? Whatever. Get up and move then."
"Yea that's right, 'sweetheart. Oh and no, I won't be moving. Bye now." I flipped my hair, continuing to observe everyone.
"Then I'm guessing we will have to move you huh?"
I uncrossed my legs placing my feet firmly on the ground. "Move me? You three? Ha! I would like to see you try. Bring it!"
Suddenly the chair moved and knocked me to the floor. I scattered to my feet and spun around. They already have gotten comfortable on my bench.
I ran over to the bench and shoved the one sitting in the middle. "Who do you think that you are? Huh? I would so want to fight you right now. No elements, no nothing. Let's go!" I took my to my fightign stance, ready for whatever she was about to throw at me.
She got to her feet and shoved me back. "I'm Akako, you scum!"
I grabbed her by her hair and threw her to the ground. "I don't care who you are! Don't you ever in your life touch me again."
She jumped to her feet again and spinned kicked me in the face.
Did she...? Oh heck no!
I got back to my feet and started to punch her in her face but my hand was grabbed by someone. I looked in the person's face and yanked my hand away.
"What are you doing here?"
"My uncle told me that the only way to stay at his place was to go to school. So here I am."
"Ugh! Li Hua wouldn't be happy to hear about that."
"I didn't come here for Li Hua. I came for my uncle. That's all. I could care less about anybody else here."
"Oh, look at that ladies. Jiha has got herself a little boyfriend. Surprising that a guy like him would even look twice at a girl like her."
I ran to her and got in her face. "Say it again! I swear I'll punch you in your face."
Her friends surrounded me and yelled, "You got to get past us first!"
"With pleasure!" I reached for one of the girls face but I was suddenly picked up and carried away. "Put me down Cheung! I want to finish them off!"
"You're drawing attention. You can get in trouble for this."
- "I doubt Li Li would forgive me if I let her best friend get in trouble."
"Calm down Jiha."
"No! I want to pound her face in!"
"Leave me alone! Put me down now!"
"Chill Jiha! Chill!"
"Maybe if you put me down I will!"
"Fine... but don't try to fight anymore."
"Sure." I thought about making a move towards the girls but I doubted I could get back over there before I would be grabbed by Cheung again.
He set me down and I looked into his eyes. "Don't stop me when I'm about to fight."
"I will always. If I'm around."
"I mean it."
"I mean it also."
I looked at my feet and caught a glimpse of blood. "I'll finish her off after break time. Look at that, I'm bleeding. Most likely from that fall."
"Can I talk to you a little about Li Hua?"
I was caught off guard by the sudden subject change. "Uh... sure, I guess."
"Do she still talk about me."
"No, she has moved on."
His eyes got big and he began to look away into the distance.
"You honestly like her don't you?"
"Yes. I really do... I can't stand the fact that she won't talk to me."
"Why is she so special? You could have any other girl easily."
Maybe by being nice to him he'll let me fight that Ak... whatever her name is, girl.
"She's everything to me. I didn't notice till she left me standing in the woods alone. I noticed that I actually had feelings for this girl."
"But you still haven't told me why she is so special."
"Well.. she's feisty, beautiful, lovable, stubborn, interesting, really fun to hang out with, funny when she wants to be..." a smile ran across his face, " She just everything that I want in a girl. She's perfect in my eyes. Something that I was dumb to jeopardize."
"Wow... uh... what can I say?"
"Say that you'll help me win her back."
"Woah cowboy. I can't do that. My loyalty is to my best friend, not you."
"That's not what this is about. Help me win her back because you want her to be happy."
I stared at him for a moment.
"Come on, you can't tell me that she wasn't happy with me because I know she was."
"I know that but.."
"But nothing. Help me. Come on... please... even if your not doing it for me do it for Li Li."
"Uh... fine... I'll help. But we need a plan... a good one."
