A New Friend

Long ago my predecessor, Avatar Korra, stopped Amon and the Equalists. Amon may have died but his cause did not. A large exodus of nonbenders fled to the new country of the People's Democracy. Eventually, the days where benders and nonbenders lived together was nothing but a memory.

The people's democracy thrived and isolated themselves from the bending world. Many citizens believe the old tales of bending and the Avatar to be just that, stories.

Meanwhile in the bending world, Avatar Korra ruled with an iron fist and kept the peace in the nations until she died peacefully at 115. Then I, Avatar Suki, was born, and I was a failure.

Due to my favoritism to my own nation, the world plunged into chaos. Because of this, the spirits split the Avatar into four people, one from each element, and all of them were born in the People's Democracy. Avatar Korra gave me a world of peace which I made a world of chaos. Now I give these four new Avatars a world of chaos which I hope they will turn into a world of peace.

Once Rokki, the last of the Avatars to arrive, got thrown in prison, all of their eyes flashed. In that moment, they all knew that they had met the other Avatars. They then spent time trading stories, that is all but Rokki who preferred no one know his back ground. All four Avatars were skeptical about having to work together with these people. None seemed to have taking to another except for Orora who had developed a school-girl crush on Rokki. However, she knew he would never go for her and besides she needed to focus on more important matters.

After a while of a few comments but mostly awkward silence Rokki spoke. "Well, can I metalbend the door now? After all, everyone loves a prison break."

Nori slowly stood up a little irritated. "You could've metalbended this whole time and you didn't say anything!" she said annoyed.

"I thought we were all getting to know each other," he smiled and Nori groaned in frustration.

"Well, to be honest we haven't learned anything about you," Orora told him plainly then regretting it.

"Listen here little miss.... Miss," he tried to think of a name for her but failed. "I don't think my backstory is important!"

Koda stood angrily. "Hey, no need to get mad at her, she's right and it doesn't matter Rokki, just get us out of here."

Rokki walked up to the door cracked his knuckles the took a stance. He moved his hands as if pulling back and the door wrapped around his body like armor. "I'll be back. I need get something," he said before running off.

"What could possibly be more important?" Orora asked.

"No time, he will have to meet us out there," Koda replied just seconds before four Kyoshi Warriors ran up, pulling up their fans defensively. Orora and Nori both got in stances, but Koda was useless without water. "Uhh guys, I can't really do anything without water," he said nervously. Koda knew a little hand-to-hand combat but maybe not enough to fight Kyoshi Warriors.

Orora stated to attack one with blasts of air and the Kyoshi Warrior barely even put up a fight. Nori starting shooting out her blue fire at two warriors who got out their shields in defense. One attacked Koda and he was able to get a hold of one of her fans, though he didn't know how to use it. Orora created a blast of wind that shot the one warrior through the hall. Nori got an opening and kicked one warrior in the stomach while she threw the other to the ground. Koda was about to strike the warrior in front of him when Orora shot her with a blast of air and she slammed against the wall. "Stop messing around," she told Koda and began to run down the hallway.

Koda dropped the fan in his hand and followed the two girls to the exit. He ran and stopped in his tracks when he saw a warrior, the one that bright him in, the one named Hana. She took out her fans and Koda thought he was finished but she threw them down. "If anyone asks, I fought you," she said simply, obviously wanting him to escape.

Koda began running again smiling at his stroke of luck. Once he was outside, he saw a girl with white hair and blue eyes. It was Yue. She was wearing a white long dress with longs flowing sleeves that started at the shoulder. "Koda!" She shouted, smiling and running up to hug him.

"Yue, what are you doing here?" He asked more surprised than anything.

"The spirits let me come here to help you," she said excitedly. She was telling the truth, the spirits did let her, after she begged and begged. They soon gave in and let her crossover into the physical world. "Here, take this. If I die, put this around my neck. I gave it some life force," she said, handing a necklace with a crescent moon on it.

"Sorry to interrupt this reunion, but we have to go!" Nori shouted excitedly.

"What about Rokki?" Orora asked nervously.

Then Rokki ran out of the door, followed by at least twenty Kyoshi Warriors following him. He was carrying a bag and he had already shed his armor. "Guys, I brought company," he yelled loudly.

Kora could now use water from the river, so he stood in his stance along with Nori, Orora, and Rokki. "Guys, go, I'll hold them off. Do your duty," Yue said to everyone's surprise. She then bended the water in the octopus formation and was ready to strike. The Avatar team darted off following Nori.

"Who is the beauty in the white?" Rokki still clutching on to his bag.

"She's not interested," Koda replied a littler irritated.

Orora interrupted what could've been a dangerous discussion. "Where are we even going?"

"To talk to my mother, the Chancellor," Nori replied with an angry expression.

Once the team reached the Chancellor's Palace, Rokki bended a hole in the wall and they all darted in following Nori. Once they reached Lin's office, Nori burned the wooded door into ash and a huge room was revealed with about 40 Kyoshi Warriors standing guard.

When they entered, the warriors raised their fans ready to attack them. Lin waved a hand and they returned to their old position. "Oh dear, Magunoria, how lovely for you to come visit," Lin said standing up, revealing her intricate dress.

"Mother, don't lock us up, we can cooperate and get out of your business, just give us transportation," Nori pleaded. Then a man in a yellow robe walked in and Orora gave a shocked expression.

"Dad? What are you doing here," Orora said surprised. Everyone heard about Shang when Orora told her story in the prison, so they all instantly hated him.

"Orora, you're a heretic and cursed by the spirits. Chancellor Lin and I are going to cleanse our nation of this bending," he replied with complete hate for his daughter.

Lin waved her hand and the warriors surrounded the team, who was ready to fight. "It's no use, they will win," Nori said and frowned, and they all stood down and let the warriors take them, and Lin turned away with a disgusted look.

Once they were gone, Lin developed an evil smile. "Just wait and see how the senate reacts to this. They will have to pass my law," she said evilly.

Soon they returned to the prison where Yue was kneeling all tied up. "Yue!" Koda said annoyed.

She frowned. "I'm sorry, I didn't want to hurt anyone," she replied in a small voice as they were escorted in.
