Bolin is an Earthbending specialist, brother of Mako and leading member of the former Fire Ferrets. Among the team, he was the only original member of the Fire Ferrets who stayed to continue the team, as Korra and Mako went on their own way. His new teammates Honsho and Carra, who he got during the time between Amon and Vaatu, became his new Fire Ferret team. Although the start of it wasn't so good, in fact giving his team the quickest knockout ever (1). However, this event had quickly improved as he and his team made a huge comeback, and quickly improved since this.
Personality
The Earthbender was still much of the same, happy going man. He still kept his good attitude towards many people for the most part, even if things don't turn too well. He isn't selfish, as he shares his joy with his team members after completing the semi finals (2). His relations kind of changed too, as his bond towards Korra started to grow through the year, becoming evident when he personally invited Korra back to the city to watch his team's "victory" in the finals.
Abilities
As time went on, his earthbending had grown more exact, with a few tips from Lin Beifong. His earthbending style slightly changed but is overall the same, only stronger as all. The key difference in his fighting style is how he uses it, more defensive than offensive like his days in the arena.
