Azula (formerly Princess of the Fire Nation and almost Fire Lord) was an extremely gifted firebender who was known to invent the technique commonly known as heatbending. Heatbending has many extensions including controlling others, transforming fire into lightning, lightning into fire, lightning back into energy and others. After her mental breakdown, Azula changed her character, not fully, but partially, becoming a person who does not truthfully care about the world and how others think of her, but just being concerned with having fun with heatbending.
History
Azula was known to have been kept alive to pass her knowledge onto Mel. It is unknown if she died after she did so.

- Azula could make any color of fire.
- Azula could create lightning faster than any other bender to have ever lived.
